In all seriousness, if you're having trouble with regular Shagaru, just grab a Lance and be sure to have Guard+5, Guard Up+3 and Embolden+3. There is literally NOTHING he can do to get through your shield. Risen Shagaru has his true unblockable ultimate, but regular Shagaru has nothing. Just leaping thrust all day, and you'll get regular Shagaru in 10 minutes with full safety and zero effort.

For most of the game, collecting bing birds is unimportant because of how easy it is. Especially now that Defender Gear is available to help you blaze through LR and HR. You won't need to collect any bing birds with how much easier this already easy game becomes with that gear.
In early to mid-Master Rank, you don't need to collect bing birds either.
For the endgame anomaly investigations, you don't need to waste time on them since beginning at like AR180, the game allows you to save investigations in arenas that give you free rainbow bing birds.

I have only just realized that I have never, not once, used SnS.

Since we are comparing HR games, everything in base Rise is trivially easy until you get to Emergency Apexes and the event Magnamalo. There is no perfect difficulty curve in Rise because there is no difficulty curve to begin with. It's more like a flatline on a heartrate monitor followed by noticeable spikes every time a new Emergency Apex arrived. It's no different than Wilds in that regard.

Ricies will blame the coof for the game launching unfinished, and yet somehow, the devs couldn't even get all Apex monsters in the base game despite the fact that they didn't even have to spend any time designing any weapons or armor for them (since the Apexes didn't have any unique weapons or armor).
World had also already done most of the hard leg work for animating and making armor and weapons for the MHDos elder trio and for Bazel. Thanks to World, these monsters were pretty much 90% done. So really most of their work was for Chameleos and Valstrax, since those monsters actually had to be modernized from 4th gen.
Also keep in mind: Rice couldn't even get these monsters in the base game despite them not having any ecology behaviors whatsoever, just like every other Rice monster. So that's one less thing Rice's dev team was working on.

Problem is, they did the first by casualizing it, adding loads of press x to awesome, walk and talk story sections, stunlocked monsters and guaranteed rare parts from investigations. The second they half assed because you still use the quest counter/alma to go on quests, and don't incentivize hunting in the wild for more than the ONE investigation you've been rest-resetting for, your seikret autopaths to everything, and nata's farm stuff generally invalidates the need to go out to gather. We still have all the downsides of this though like massive performance issues as CPUs try to keep track of every moving part of the ecosystem, and a mostly worthless 2nd weapon slot that just muddied up the skill system implementation.
The end result is the gameplay doesn't give people a reason to stay, and the performance gives people a reason to leave.

Really hope Wilds kills this ip. I can finally be free of shitster shitner
