Oni starts as an ideologically motivated killer, killing people who he thought were acting like samurai but bringing them a bad name. He was brutal and as rumors spread of his acts he was painted as a brute and a monster, which drove him to kill more out of rage. Eventually killing his father and towns full of people in rage. In a way it is vengeful, but not because of the world being cruel. He just gets too pissed off. Probably fits best in deranged but I think he's capable of coherent thought he's just possessed by anger.

Kaneki is a ghoul, they are basically vampires that can't eat anything but people, if they get too hungry they start to lose control until they eat. Kaneki is supposed to be one of the ghouls that wants only peace and to find a way for humans and ghouls to live in peace. The entity is just amplifying his hunger and never letting it be sated. He goes in instinct tier.

I don't think he gets a power thrill, its more like he's enforcing what he genuinely thinks is justice but he has a twisted sense of it. He just happens to be way more powerful than his victims because he's an ogre of a man. I think there's also some weird involvement with the entity and the whole Yamaoka line. I would recommend spending a little money just buying some of the DLC to save you like 300 hours in grinding shards since everything is on sale. At least to where you have a pretty good variety of perks for different situations.

Aside from that just try to keep a good mental and try to engage with the better parts of the community, like if you're struggling with someone specific ask what you can do about it.

If you love altruistic play I'd recommend getting Felix for Desperate Measures. Unhook speed is actually quite important against some killers especially in endgame. Yui's perks are all quite good for protecting your teammates combined with other things if you like bodyblocking for them

I've been running double zombie speed add-ons including the iri one and I've been getting some fucking wombo combos if I'm lucky enough for a zombie to join a loop, they are way way faster than the survivors expect. it's only like one in every two games and not at all worth running over licker tongue and some other better one, but it's very enjoyable. Springtrap's goal is collect Remnant (soul goo that makes you immortal) seemingly for purely selfish reasons (according to the books and recent game lore). They dropped the idea of him doing it to bring his kid back and just seemingly gun it for him wanting to be immortal. He'd go in the current Power category. It depends on the strength and meta knowledge of the team. Doing that to a good team is essentially forcing a gen rush. Having a survivor on hook and leaving is also nice in that situation because then it forces the gen pressure to be 2/4 or 1/4 if you get into a chase quickly after being hooked. But if there's a clear weak link you think you can get out of the match in like ~120-180 seconds go for it.

It depends on the game. I've won plenty of survivor games because the killer thought he had to tunnel and just fucking failed at it. Also depends on the killer. The best killers in the game are also unsurprisingly really good at it despite not needing to do it.

Someone like doctor who can actually reasonably get run for 3+ gens and actually needs to patrol gens isn't the same as Vecna who not only can ignore bodyblocking but can just instantly fly across the map as soon as his dog brain hears a loud noise.

In a perfect game you find the easiest person to down and you prioritize them. Once they're out you can then spread your hooks out a bit more evenly.

Of course this is a very shitty way of playing and you'll eventually get bored of playing as often times survivors will give up in 3v1 if you tunnel somebody out quick enough, which is why I prefer to just pressure the weak link but keeping them injured since they're more likely to avoid chases/hide than work on gens while injured so you can focus more on the better loopers.

Not even just giving up, constantly scaring people off gens they have no way of completing unless I just ignore them is boring. Most experienced survivors would rate multiple m1 killers pretty high on the most annoying to play against. Wesker despite being stronger and not an m1 killer is less obnoxious than myers, pig, trapper. Wraith is an m1 killer and one of the most obnoxious killers in the game. Hell Blight if he wasn't so fucking OP and finally got the nerf he deserved would be less annoying to play against than any of the m1 killers.

I give Chucky up. I must have played like fifty games with him, and against all four good players, I can get 2k at best. His problems just make you feel too helpless, which I'll list:
1) Cooldown just takes too long. If you miss your Slice and Dice, you are a 110% speed killer trying to play an M1 game, but survivors can literally see your position with footsteps until you can get back into Hidey Ho.
2) Vaults and pallets completely shut him down. Only an uninformed player will make distance after vaulting or dropping a pallet against Chucky, becasue this is the only way Chucky can actually hit you after a Scamper. After vaulting or dropping a pallet, just staying right next to it and sideways a bit leaves you compeltely invulnerable to Scamper, meaning the survivor has the advantage and can wait and see what Chucky does.
3) There are loops where a Slice and Dice can't even land unless the survivor seriously miss steps, which is possible especially with mind games during Hidey Ho, but not at all reliable or consistent.
4) Too much endlag on a missed Slice and Dice. He's punished enough for missing as discussed in point 1, but the endlag feels like SHIT. Imagine a situation where you missed and now need to break a pallet or vault to proceed with the chase. Well imagine having to just stand there and wait what feels like 2 seconds (probably isn't) before you can.
5) No map traversal AND he's 110%, and survivors can hear him coming because of his chuckling in Hidey Ho mode so he doesn't even get that advantage.
He seriously needs some new ability. I've already suggested earlier that after a Scamper, he should then return to free movement in Hidey Ho mode with whatever meter is left, which would make him much more fun and interesting both to play as and against.

I don't know how new you are, but he used to be able to go under pallets without doing a slice and dice while in hidey ho, and he was much more fun. He was not that insane or impressive because he has never had any macro pressure, but hens and otz roused the twitter horde lobbied for him to be nerfed because his 1v1 was strong. He was one of the most fun killers I had played after release and I loved him, but he is absolute garbage now.

Having a sadako teleport but better and being one of the most lethal killers in chase is S tier. The only thing holding him back from being Blight tier is he has to only proxycamp hooks instead of just slugging instead. I'm not a compfag but the little I've seen he has some of the fastest downs in the game and is harder to play around than blight if we're talking purely how well they do in chase.

Judging by the knight and clown changes and their stated reasoning behind them they actually want every killer to just be really easy and braindead at the expense of skill ceiling. Apparently they consider the design bad if it's even possible for a killer to fail at something and want something to happen every time you press a button even if it means reducing a killer's gameplay to throwing your power at your feet being the best possible strategy in every possible situation and deincentivizing trying for skillshots.

Deja Vu is always good, as it allows you to at least try and prevent your team from potentially three-genning you. The 6% repair speed is just a pleasant bonus, its the information that's vital, since most killers will try and capitalise on a 3-gen.

Wiretap is fun, but more often than not the killer will just immediately kick your gen after scaring you off anyway. It is insanely good on indoor maps though, so keep it on if you like the flavour. As another anon mentioned, it does not work with Open-Handed.

Wiretap is kind of ass anyway because it doesn't work against undetectable which for some reason isn't reserved exclusively for m1 stealth killers so it's actually just going to mess you up when you expect wiretap to work but actually Wesker or Blight flies in at 600mph or Nemesis walks up to you with no footstep noises because you're on a tile without clear vision. The combination of undetectable blocking aura reading and it going away with a single gen kick makes it just too niche on top of being conditional.

Direct killer aura reading for survivor I think isn’t that good anymore. Kindred is the only one with killer aura I think isnt situational/niche. Otherwise you’re better off using something like Bond, Empathy, Any Means and estimating killer location that way. If you do run killer aura reading then Eyes of Belmont, Fogwise, alert are fine but some matches just won’t get value.
