i've got about 50 hours in the game at this point. i've played all classes at least once. so far I think my order of favoritism is
Revenant>Ironeye>Wylder>the rest

Revenant is fun 'cause you not only get summons but you're able to go melee if you get a decent holy weapon or wanna upgrade your starting claws. The run is always a bit different based on what spells you get.
Ironeye is fun 'cause he can zip zoop and dodge everywhere, plus I like popping the mark for beeg dam.
I really like Wylder so while he's third in top 3, it's super close for all three. He's mobile, his greatsword combo after using his skill makes him able to dodge and does decent damage, plus it's cool. His ult is impactful and feels good to use. He can go pretty much any melee build.

i think if i recall correctly, if you are doing a basic one handed dagger combo, ability restage after 2 hits, then the combo ending restage should proc, as it'll proc right after the ability restage ends (implication being that they cannot overlap at all, although counterpoint that this may only be for your damage, combo proc / relic restage might only ever be for your damage and manual restage can be for teammate damage, so when and when not to use it gets complicated)

Is it just me or is Vyke's spear kinda trash in NR?
I noticed it before too but I just bought it for 42k during my last Wylder run against the bugs (it had a good passive too), I had 3 skill attack power passives, 2 two-handed attack passives and a fire attack passive but I was barely tickling the bugs with it.
Luckily I had a purple Flamberge with Flaming Strike on it which did enough work but man, this is the last time I'm getting Vyke's shitspear.

Kinda. The stars in Elden Ring are both actual stars and beings flying around the cosmos, so Fallingstar Beasts and Astels are stars that fell to Earth. They skew close to the Primeval Current, the forbidden branch of magic because it turns you into a star yourself and you lose your humanity. Hot take; change the gaol relic into a new map feature. A tough boss protects a special gaol you can open with a key you can claim from 3 gaol clears, and killing him will give you a damage buff for each gaol you took down

Now its an actual strat, one that may or may not be worth it depending on how many you clear and whether your pathing suits. The maps are barren as fuck, more options and more choices would be good.

there are only like 4 evergoals on the map in a crater map, you can get 12-15% more damage pretty easily from a relic that has even more besides damage bonus but you are unga bunga "meta gaming" it to have instead a relic that gives you an extra 5% or so damage and forces you to play the map in a very specific way ignoring most of the high XP and rare loot drops until the last minute.
