Dominions is a fantasy turn-based war game created by two dudes. One of them is a teacher.
The game combines a simple presentation with an extremely wide array of strategic options, including over 3400 units, 1100 spells and 400 magic items. Turns are resolved simultaneously, with players planning battles rather than directly controlling them. It has simplistic graphics but is easily moddable and extremely deep.
Basically, it's an autist’s wet dream of a war game.

If you are in a position to research it with Sauro or Pythium you are already going to win. High conjuration isnt a priority for them over other paths. Theyll usually stop at 5 just to get Howl.
It's just a fun gimmick summon, it wont swing games.
Lords of Civilization are stronger sacreds anyway, since they are commanders with magic paths and item slots.

the stength boost doesn't do much for your sacred halberders, they already do 23 damage, though armor is stronger in LA.

Far caster is expensive, LA relies more on demons than magic critters so not sure why arcane command, and strong blood is mostly for diseases, which isn't normally a problem unless your supply blocked or have some sort of plague things going on.

We lost 2 rookies this time, first there's Maruzensky who dove headfirst into the enemy's main force, her first ever battle, and died horribly to tentacle monsters (how did yomi get these things?). The second is Bubble Gum Fellow, who held ambitions of singlehandedly taking the enemy cap, but unfortunately fort PD ko oni is a totally different beast from indie ko oni, and she was swiftly beaten to death by the swarm of 14 attack 13 morale demons. However, our big winner in this category is Kinyasu the Dai-fan who got so excited he dove directly onto the turf and had to be escorted out by one of our mounted security guards. I know Uma Musume is wildly popular in the eastern lands, but I must remind our spectators to restrain themselves. Reportedly, he met some flaming fellows on the way out, but that is outside the scope of this competition.

Loves Only You lost her mount in an ambitious, but ultimately unsuccessful, attack on a particularly large blob of bakemono. She'll therefore be taking a short break, but will be ready in time for the next rice. Better luck next time!

With magic phase you don't have to guess where they're going to move, and without magic phase you do. Going a little bit further, there are times you can divide your forces up to make multiple defensive positions and still win/trade favorably if any one of them get hit. Raiding and raiding defense is honestly one of the harder parts of the game though, because there are very ambiguous choices involved that can have severe consequences.

You can't easily catch an army because all movement happens before battle, so if an enemy wants to flee, they will.
There's some ways but it's quite elaborate.

>take a province the army was going to walk through (not their destination, just one in the path there) before they move
>successfully guess where they're going to move and move there too (easier to do with thugs, SC, airdropped battlefield wipers, etc.)
Generally, if an army really doesn't want to fight you and we don't have a case of extreme movement disparity (like if you've got fliers and the enemy is slow troops), it's just not going to happen.
Check through those options, sometimes you get a good chance at one of them. Otherwise, focus instead on what YOU are doing. If your enemy is completely refusing to engage, that means you have too many troops in that deathball. How many can you remove from the deathball to go take other provinces before the enemy is willing to engage? Try to approach that point. Keep the enemy fleeing while the rest of your army does something useful. Or just split your army in two or three and go for his forts.

The final battle of doMAgay_reglobby. Ermor breaking siege, because I was afraid that the walls would play against me by giving him more time to nuke my skeletons with fire. I overdid using my mages in battle all game long, so I could maintain a huge amount of chaff and sacreds in several stacks like this one all over the map, but my research is trash and it'd still have taken me several turns to develop a solution against it.
Still surprised how well that went. I genuinely thought it would be tight or I'd even lose.
Doesn't really matter, because I'm claiming the last throne I need right now and two more next turn, so I could have tanked losing this one. But still a nice capstone to end the game.

It's a fun strategy and it can catch someone by surprise, but it's pretty much a meme. If you rely on it, people will quickly plan around it. If you use it sparingly it's quite effective, but then you still could have gotten much more mileage out of a mage bless and better scales instead.

I know Ermor felt pretty confident throughout, but I think it was really my game to lose. Right before Man died I was raking in 5k in base income every turn and I had the research/gems to remove skeleton with Earthquakes, Flame Limo/Falling Fires spam, and loads-e-conjuration summons, but I failed to actually leverage that advantage in any way. If I had properly set up all my Maliqs with rings of levitation even before I hit Ench 7 for levitate army I could've fucked him up but good. I'd like to play Nazca again sometime; their lategame potential is insane.

fatigue is spread out equally between master and slaves then multiplied according to some formula I never remember that fatigues the slave more the higher the difference between the slave's paths and the spell being cast by the master; if the master casts a spell from a path the slave doesn't have the fatigue cost on the slave will be enormous
you can have multiple masters attached to the same communion. in my experience around 1 masters per 4 slaves is usually safe, but you might want to get it as high as 1:2 if you're okay with risking the slaves fatiguing out and dying or use spells like summon earthpower or personal regeneration to give the slaves reinvigoration to keep their fatigue down or regen to keep them alive once they get to 200 fatigue and their hp start ticking down
oh also if a master casts a spell that targets the caster it will be transmitted to all other slaves, but not the other masters

Then I cast Utterdark with like 400 gems overcast. Everyone was pooling gems to take it down. Then I put it up again with no overcast. They pooled EVERYTHING to take it down, thinking it'd be even worse. And then I put it up again with like 700 gems overcast. Everyone declared peace among themselves and war against me, but soon everyone was down to endless waves of wolves and skellyspam, and soon after everyone gave up. That was fun.

I don't know how the f you're supposed to get good expansion with LA arco. Their stats, armor and weapons are just too mediocre. And their starting army is dire. Peltasts are useless, hoplites too slow, hypastists have good stats but crappy gear, apes have good stats but tiny bucklers suck against crossbows and their slow mapmove makes them hard to move and reinforce, companions have good stats but just not enough armor for LA cav, elephants take too long to mass a decent number with their 100 res cost and then go limpy, and the hearty boys... might be worth recruiting just for their veteran stats, though it'd be nice if they had 12's instead of 11's. It is definitely a nation to play through in testing before you really give it a go, because of the strengths and weaknesses. Your basic fighting units have high hp but are just bad at attack and defense, and they are amphibious but they just end up worse in actual water. Consider the national summons, and putting a Magic Command into it, so that your sacred commanders can order them around with better morale and leadership than your mages. I have seen a lot of EAgarthans go hard on Reinvigoration with the idea being to just mass up on the mind worms, and it is pretty hard to fight against truth be told, but that is just one strategy out of modern EAgartha. Early on you will be leveraging the mass of your troops against whatever weakest indie province is around you and you definitely want to snowball your progress so if you need to take a turn to build up enough troops to easily take a province to get it going, well, you might just have to do that. Their sacred troops are really chunky and have pretty good armor and a sacred weapon I think so you can lean on that as much as you want

Dom6 Mod Inspector makes it easy to look these spells up but there is no other way but to try them out and understand that EAgartha gets to summon mini-Elementals to hang out at Conjuration 3 but they require a Magical Commanding handler. Umbrals and Penumbrals are also worth considering, but always remember that your access to E3 can let you give really good spell bonuses to your fat but mediocre normal recruits, along with your better units. Always be using that high Earth magic access

if you modify indie provinces with #setland it just adds whatever defenders you set to the one the game generates. Use either just #land or #setland
Unfortunately the auto generated defenders ARE NOT the poptype for whatever reason. Poptype only matters for when you conquer the province.
But besides that, yeah what you wrote looks alright. Just be sure NOT to open the .map file in the map editor or it'll delete all the custom indies for whatever reason
