The best campaign is still medieval 2. Interesting mechanics like crusades and jihads and invasions, with a perfect pacing due to a lack of busywork on the campaign map. It’s just pure strategy, no paradox-esque bloat. M2 is strategy/battle/strategy/battle, Warhammer is strategy/paradox bloat/battles and the pacing suffers. All the improvements to your characters happened automatically in M2, I think Warhammer would benefit from an option for that. I don’t care much for skill trees

Ironsides are cheaper DPS if you consider that you need less of them to achieve the same dps. The piecing effect is also an X factor that makes them better than the stats suggest. The empire has ways of replenishing ammunition, and battles rarely require more ammunition than what the Ironsides have.
Everyone who has actually run Ironside gun lines knows that it is the way of the future. I’m surprised they’re getting buffed, they’re already extremely OP at tier 3 for their price. They outshoot all tier V missile units at the same price on a mass scale. They only lose 1v1 to fireglaives.

That's 10% more damage total for the handgunners that cost only 69% of the irondogshitsides.

In older tw autoresolve was kind of bad and dead troops cost money, in Warhammer autoresolve is busted and units replenish on its own.
Many times AR is more efficient than fighting mostly because you can actually wipe out enemy in AR.

this is an issue with cheats and campaign being annoying, not the battles themselves. routing works fine when you don't have leadership cheats turned on, and chasing them off the map instead of having to autistically kill everything wouldn't be a problem is the campaign didn't punish you by having the enemy army come back at full strength if you don't.

Tomb Keks require at least 2 mods to be playable, one depend on which lord you want to play and another you will have to make yourself because for some reason every mod for them keep the retarded limits instead pooling them together.
Skaven are silly because half of their lords have broken as shit mechanic but their strongest lord is by far Tretch that doesn't have shit and his campaign bonuses are simply so good a fucking nuke can't compete.
High Elves are just meh, no matter what you will try to do with them it feels like a cheese, so unless you have a clear idea how to spice it up don't bother because you will fall a sleep playing them.
Ogres camps are bugged and move on their own so you shouldn't bother until they are fixed.
Dark Elves have the same problem as High Elves, you either spam Shades or whatever other broken unit your Lord buff and have 0 fun or you do something silly like lords only campaign.
Dwarfs are hot garbage, Empire and Cathay does everything they do but better and are actually fun to play.
WoC have really nice warband mechanic that will make you hate playing mono gods and other factions in general.
Daniel is garbage and you shouldn't bother with Daemons of Chaos, instead download a mod that give his mechanic to every demon prince instead.

My personal recommendation are Greeniggers, each of their lords have different gimmick to them so you can have completely different armies depending on who you picked, like Gorbad buff all kind of units but he elevate spiders to another level (Lava Arachnarock get 2 mortis engine effects and sip away vigor), Starsnik and Grom have insane gobos, Wurzzag savage spam is fun as well, Grimgor and Azhag prefer more conventional armies. Also the fact you can confederate other LLs by beating them up take away a lot of frustration from the game. Scrap is also the best mechanic in the game because while it give more power to units you also have to earn it.

Enabling minor AI power has been great. Get to see shit like this sometimes.

That's pretty sad. I've kept both of the new AI boosters enabled and the game is much better and more dynamic. Consistently, with every campaign thus far. Also they're (mostly) better in manuals, too, they aren't as magnetic to SEM/hero/lords and are more likely to push through gaps and your single entities to get your ranged. I frequently see enemy in manuals stop (like 1 unit) in my ranged fire for 5-10 seconds which is unnecessary. There'll be say a line of 6 melee units charging forward, and one will just stop randomly for a little bit, then resume. No stuns/debuff etc, just stops.

Just did a Helm's Deep style defense as the Dwarves against Skrag and his doomstack, first ever Heroic Victory.

After two confederations, I have 7 settlements, an army of bigguns, and this confederated army by turn 6. I'm deciding which dwarf to attack first. The southeastern dwarfs will attack my rear if I go for thorgrim, but thorgrim might attack from the north if I go south. Still, think I'll go south. It's crazy to think that even with such a good start, it's still an intimidating situation to deal with, surrounded by dwarfs. This is the only actual hard campaign in the DLC

Long-secured all of Empirelands (100 authority; military ally with Franz where I own one sided of the river, he owns the other side), Bretlands are secure, most of donut is secure (N'Kari just turtling). I've given most of Norscaland to Kostaltyn. Secured East/South mountains and gifted to two Dawi factions. Elspeth's ceiling for strength is just batshit with the amethyst armoury. So many upgrades to units in general, and then even more upgrades to the amethyst versions. Very strong.

Praise Sigmar! VCoast or Beast campaign next I think, been such a long time and they have some nice changes in this latest hotfix.
