I saw a video about CPU difficulty and it’s really true that they cranked up the CPU difficulty after 8 Deluxe, CPUs in Tour are infuriating to play against and difficult to drive past without being attacked in some way, while CPUs in World feel slightly easier except for the insane rubberbanding making it near impossible to catch up to them if they overtake you and also them suddenly becoming very aggressive in the very last section or race, like how I failed to 3 star mirror Banana Cup twice in a row yesterday because I got blue shelled during both Great ? Block Ruins runs and got overtaken and rubberbanded by the CPUs (not even the designated rival Birdo either) even though I rewound to avoid the blue shells, I was doing perfectly right up until Great ? I liked 7 because of the kart customization and it has good and unique tracks. After playing world for a few weeks I think it's kind of mediocre for a mario kart. Super circuit takes away a lot of stuff from SMK like the stage hazards and also it has really weird contradictory requirements for the stars when you complete a gp which makes it cock and ball torture to 100%. Only thing it has that's better is the graphics, some more tracks (I don't think any of the new tracks are that good) and the handling is easier which I don't really care about but I guess for people who didn't play SMK when it came out it's better.

this is the main reason i hear why people like super circuit "the backgrounds are cool" and that's the most vapid reason to prefer it over SMK. SMK's rainbow road is way better it has the cool super thwomps, doesn't have the easy mode barriers to stop you falling off, has way better music (the best rainbow road music in the entire series). Also I think the background is better because I think the darker sky looks cooler. Bowsers flying castle it's ok but why not make that a track? I think the bowsers castle stages in super circuit are meant to take place in it but it's hard to tell and not part of the tracks that it's a flying castle in any way.

Personally, I like Super Circuit Rainbow Road because the jump pads make for some impressive cuts, but I like SNES Rainbow Road better for the Thwomps and the music + it's very engaging due to no rails and the tight turns.

Besides that, I quite like Super Circuit's Luigi Circuit, Sky Garden, Broken Pier, and Bowser's Castle 4. Luigi Circuit is one of the best advanced circuits in Mario Kart history due to the rain making natural obstacles in puddles + the tight turns, Sky Garden for all the cool shortcuts and the theming, Broken Pier for the Boo obstacles in addition to the standard haunted boardwalk challenges, and Bowser's Castle 4 due to how cool it looks and how advanced it is compared to the first two (+ GBA Bowser's Castle music is so good).
