I liked 7 because of the kart customization and it has good and unique tracks. After playing world for a few weeks I think it's kind of mediocre for a mario kart. Super circuit takes away a lot of stuff from SMK like the stage hazards and also it has really weird contradictory requirements for the stars when you complete a gp which makes it cock and ball torture to 100%. Only thing it has that's better is the graphics, some more tracks (I don't think any of the new tracks are that good) and the handling is easier which I don't really care about but I guess for people who didn't play SMK when it came out it's better.

this is the main reason i hear why people like super circuit "the backgrounds are cool" and that's the most vapid reason to prefer it over SMK. SMK's rainbow road is way better it has the cool super thwomps, doesn't have the easy mode barriers to stop you falling off, has way better music (the best rainbow road music in the entire series). Also I think the background is better because I think the darker sky looks cooler. Bowsers flying castle it's ok but why not make that a track? I think the bowsers castle stages in super circuit are meant to take place in it but it's hard to tell and not part of the tracks that it's a flying castle in any way.
