Kotomine isn't normal but that's a Kotomine issue and not a class issue - any dangers with Kotomine is not the class, but he himself.

Really, when you look at the list of AEs, once you exclude BB shenanigans, Liz variants and Kiara (whose issue is less the class and more the person herself), AE isn't any worse than other classes. If anything, the problem isn't AE, but BB/ Mooncell shenanigans because most of the problematic ones are Mooncell related shit - which again, the game has BB directly saying her stuff are Special Cases.

So yeah, most of the explanations from OC1 doesn't really hold up and they kinda shot themselves in the foot because of fucking BB. Really, the only AE that actually fit with what OC1 said is Douman since game actually already showed that "real" Douman isn't batshit.

OC1 is also basically the tutorial OC because Alter Egos are basic like that, it was probably not the Extra Class that triggered Alaya, it just got thrown in with the Class Action Lawsuit, but it was not the case that "mattered" because you were basically using them "right" from the start, that's also why not remembering it isn't really a big deal.

How am I being a contrarian? The Morgan we have in-game is nothing like the Morgan in the Arthurian mythos. Worse, Nasu merged THREE Arthurian characters into one person, so we'll forever be deprived of getting lore accurate versions of Morgan, Nimue / the Lady of the Lake, and Morgause. All because Nasu wanted to be a contrarian and try to cram three distinct people, with three radically different personalities, into one person.
Nasu thought he was being clever by copying the Three Morrígna from Irish. But he wasn't. He's a total brainlet, because the three Three Morrígna have nothing to do with Morgan, Morgause, or Nimue; they're about Badb, Macha, and Morrigan (not the Arthurian one). If Nasu wanted his schizo, triple persona witch, then he should've used the one with actual mythical backing and lore behind it

I'm okay with Artoria's interpretation because it makes sense in the context of the story that Nasu wrote. Artoria had to hide her gender while she was alive, lest she lose her throne. Her gender and her sexuality would also explain why Guinevere cheated on her with Lancelot, and also why Artoria was hesitant to actually punish Guinevere until Agravian forced Artoria's hand by exposing the cuckoldry.
And Excalibur? Literally nothing wrong with it. In a lot of Arthurian myths, Arthur loses the sword he drew from the stone in his fight with Lancelot, so the Fae give him a new sword (Excalibur) from the Lake. That's lore accurate to the myths

Not really, no.
Nero Bride gives you a flat 45% NP up, 40% attack up, and a 30% Sky attribute damage up, all on top of her 30% np charge. The Sky attribute in particular is a god tier buff because buff types in FGO stack multiplicatively, so the more buff types you have the better.
For Xu Fu, she has 30% np gen up, 20% arts up, 30% damage up versus the undead, and 30% np charge. So if the enemy you're fighting is undead, then Xu Fu is better. Moreover, Xu Fu is much cheaper, which is something you have to keep in mind when you're factoring in party cost.
Johanna has 20% up, a guaranteed partywide 20% charge every turn for 3 turns, and an aoe np (which hits hard versus evil and man enemies) which she can easily use in multicore setups due to her own 50% np charge
Paracelsus has 20% arts up + 50% np gain up which is great, especially because he has the party cost of a 3 star.

Card Type (Buster, Quick, Arts, Extra), then NP/Crit, and finally generic damage increases.
Stuff like type advantages goes into the generic damage increases box, so it's additive to Atk Up and so on before being multiplied by the Card and NP/Crit boxes.
