Queue the flash forward to 2 weeks from now when everyone is asking for her nerf. She's literally a FREE board wipe in a craft that has free board wipes at nearly every PP threshold. The destruction effect is random so it also kills followers with aura and ambush. And a board of 4 wards that all buff her when they die is incredibly sticky and strong. This puts Abyss up there as the most powerful control deck and all their legends give them massive advantage without having to invest an evo. You retards really have no clue how good this card is

The reason you guys think the card is bad is because you are focusing too much on the ward mode, the ward mode ISN'T THE MAIN MODE, 90% of the time the "blow up the enemy board and heal" is by far the better choice. Abyss has so much healing you should never be endangered of getting hit for lethal by Albert. Cerberus can heal for 6 too, so in 2 turns that is 10 points of healing, if you are getting one-shotted that's on you

Gunsetsu is FINE, probably the best legendary shown so far.
Good as a 1 of for those games where both sides exhausted their resources or if your opponent bricked didnt draw their orchis, kuon...etc and is saving their Sevo for their big boss card this pretty much FORCES them to act and respond to.
And doesnt require evo which is nice, it just furthers the idea that abyss should be using up evos like candy to help them deal with everything in the early game.

Unless you are playing storm sword, no. Abyss' early game is meh but people overstate how weak it is. Orthus is still strong especially against Sword, Cemetary gives good removal against sword, bonemancer and reaper also make for good options. Abyss has plenty of decent options early game especially for dealing with weenie sword followers. The issue with Abyss early game isn't that they lack good followers, it's that the followers they do have lack synergy and there is no strategy to build to.

You'd need to pop a crypt, play medusa, sevo a ghost, and use a reaper's brick to clear that board. Which means you're -3 cards while sword is +0 cards as Amelia draws 2. You're now 3 cards behind and you're pretty much guaranteed to lose from the overwhelming card disadvantage.

Control Abyss still plays Cerberus....they would also play Olivia which can easily setup 5 damage storm turns with the ghost amulet on turn 7. Again, you are just doing the thing where you assume the worst possible conditions for Abyss and the best possible conditions for whatever deck it's up against. That isn't how these games work. In a standard, average, game, Abyss will have plenty of ways to burn face with Agarvy, storm ghosts, Cerberus, and serpents wrath, all of which go into the control variant.
