>>530728859Eligma is what makes it so you never have to worry about rolling dupes to get students up to max power, unlike some other gachas where if you roll a character with the bare minimum then you've got a shadow of what that character can be.
Being able to spark a limited character (including blufes ones) and then get them up to 5*UE30/50 without having to do any additional rolls (or get lucky and roll them multiple times) is a godsend.
Any character that you can farm via hard nodes I'd never want to speng eligma on, since you can essentially get their shards for free - though the cost doesn't really rack up until you're paying 5 eligma per shard.
You can also start pre-buying limited students eligma with expert permits if you KNOW you're going to get them. You can NOT redeem those students with the shards bought, but it's useful to start buying Mika / sHanako / sHoshino shards in advance since the exchange rate is slightly better than buying raw eligma with the permits, though some people still prefer credits etc.
