It’s irritating how far this series lore fell from the likes of Dust, and Ecdysis from Season of Drifter. I’m torn, I truly felt like the Nine were just annoyingly cryptic enough even though they often did deliver on what they referenced earlier on, but it’s one of those things where I liked them being weird watchers of things and not being over explained or even necessarily fully acknowledged by some of the most powerful characters we met. It's not like World's First has genuine prestige anyway. I would be surprised if any team in the Top 10 of any D2 raid since DSC didn't have leaks on hand, or at least one person on the team actively aware of leaks, to give them an advantage.
If they want it to have any sort of credibility, it needs to get similar requirements to speedrunning: Completely visible screen, visible timer, and an input display capture at bare minimum. Preferably also no muted comms. Going into Worlds' First with the intent of getting the #1 clear is you putting yourself on trial for saying "I'm the best", and it should feel like that. If you can't handle that pressure, then you ain't #1.

I've just finished the Final Shape campaign in legendary. Gameplay-wise, it was very interesting, with lots of varied combat and some pretty tough encounters. The story, on the other hand, didn't thrill me; it was clearly Zavala, Caydes and Crow's campaign, not mine. Fortunately, my Ghost was there to make me believe it was my story too. There were no really epic moments either, everything was very confined and very small-scale.

I preferred the Witch Queen one.

Probably objectively weaker than the other races it encountered, Clovis actively interacting with the darkness to make exos(surely it could sense that), and to top it off there was the Rasputin protocol to imprison/destroy the traveler(think that got retconned with seraph).

My theory is that it was always looking for a people that could wield the light the way humanity does. It originally wanted The Hive and we see they can do the shit humans can with it and we even saw Savathun came up with a way to keep The Traveler safe forever on top of that. I think that's a very rare talent and it only ever found that humans could master the light that way beyond the hive themselves among all the worlds it went to.

I swear there was a teaser thing or live stream for TFS that heavily implied we’d get Ghost diving more into sort of the psyche of things and just explaining the whole connection to Traveler and I feel like it never really happened. Hyper grinding, I've literally been playing Destiny2 19 hours a day since Tuesday. Some of the quests are long, and there are the exotic missions to do. I also had to do the Final Shape campaign in Legendary and all the related sides quests, but at least the expansion is free for another week after the reset, so I'll be fine.
