i think good class balance in 'nilla is that warriors are still king but not so much that you are incentivized to stack them as hard as you do in 'nilla. the gap in dps should be cut by a bit, and other classes brought up slightly with the exception of mage and rogue which are probably fine. that way, guilds that are into speedrunning and have a lot of geared warriors can still stack them if they want, but the majority of guilds will run more balanced raid setups - with warriors still making the bulk of dps in a raid

That's a classic thing because the mobs there hit like a wet noodle. On turtle mobs hit harder, you can tank with a two hander but you will need a shield in many situations if you're going to tank dungeons.

Trying to decide between which of these three to roll when Epoch goes live but I've never played any of these three classes in TBC. I've heard druids perform much better in TBC but I know next to nothing about the latter two.

From my experience in the beta, you did not need consumes. You just need to actually use the utility spells that most classes have, some co-ordination between you in doing so and not be horrificly under-levelled/geared.

The “increased difficulty” is balanced against increased player power. Epoch is about as easy as Turtle. Maybe easier in some ways.

You can craft some cool looking armour sets if you like heavy plate sets, Turtle has a few custom actual sets with bonuses that are pretty good.
However they're 99% BoE so you don't need to be the one to craft it and at 60 there's not a single recipe that's any better than raid loot.
