I still have some lingering gripes. The story shit doesn't affect me personally, since I experienced the original tutorial, but knowing that new player's first introduction is being shilled two off banner dresses in a convoluted lore bomb bugs the shit out of me. Waiting to see how they are going to readdress this since they vaguely said they'd handle it. That and I still hate SoS dailies even if they are faster now.

If you exclude 1.5 they've actually done a fantastic job addressing most of my personal complaints:

>Can customize all ability outfits
>Can toggle ability settings
>Can take vertical photos
>Can include Momo in photos (how the fuck was this not a thing day one?)
>Can adjust position without exiting photomode
>Can save photo presets
>Can manipulate the timeline of most poses and lighting follows you in high movement poses now
>Much more freedom in where you can bike and glide
>Custom namecards aren't covered in a gross solid green gradient anymore
>Props are way easier to access now
In my opinion they've demonstrated they're capable of taking feedback and improving the game, so I think now that they've made the game playable again and cleaned up MOST of their mess there is hope. But some of the changes they made are so integral, like incorporating SoS to the core of the game even though its filled with garbage activities and convoluted lore.

This version's story gave me a bit more hope in the game's storytelling. It's still rough around the edges but it's progress

Tried Multiplayer again and had the wife stream her client so I could see how synced/buggy it was. For the most part it was pretty solid, but noticed a few things:

I think I more just enjoy the big fancy world than the story itself. The Act 1 story was only something that affected a small part of just one of the 7 major countries after all. The Sea of Stars is something that encompasses everything so it's kind of set up for everything that will come from now on. I'd still like to know what's up with Ena and the Threads of Reunion though. But really I just like the idea of visiting all the crazy places in Miraland.

You either do that, or EoS before it happens. For top end gachas you'd have at least two teams working independently on their staggered patch content, it makes sense that the natural inclination is making everything modular and as insulated as possible and maintaining the overall status quo, because how the hell else are you going to keep the whole thing managed.
You can get heavily narrative-driven games where director with a vision keeps a hold on everything, but it makes sense those are smaller/don't last as long, like Nier Reincarnation.

With Gacha its inevitable. The ever increasing amount of characters outweighs the tiny amount of screen time each patch. There are always dev and fan favorite characters get hog extra screentime on top of that.

Nikki should be able to avoid this trope but they didn't think about it and just looked at other Gachas and copied their homework thinking their success is because every event and side story is about no-name NPCs we never see again. Meanwhile the actual interesting seemign characters they introduce show up for 4 seconds and are left to rot for a year.

I don't think it's because they can't "maintain" or "manage" a large cast of characters. In fact Genshin does an incredible job of referencing past events and characters and alluding to them years down the line. Lots of their events actually have a sort of tie-in mention to an event from years before.

The real issue is they are changing what character they're trying to showcase and sell ever month and a half, and they can't actually give a playable character development because that would change the product they're selling. If they're pitching an overworked waifu who can't mange their work and personal life, they're never going to have them resolve that. That's the character's shtick and there is no room for development, so there is a little you can do with them besides have them be a side character in an event about a rando-NPC

Aww man, the final evo of SoS dyes terribly. The galaxy inside part is really saturated, the dark stars stay dark, the cleavage part dyes differently than the rest of the top.

i still havent been able to evolve it because it costs 700k blings to craft the second outfit
