The only things that are really that limiting is the fact you can't use the Market Board, which only matters because that's how you can easily get glam. If you want glam as a Free Trial, you need to hope that it drops from a dungeon (or from PotD/HoH), then you need to farm the glam, because otherwise if you want to craft a piece of glam, you're going to need to go out and gather the ingredients and then craft it yourself, and some of the glam ingredients come from maps that people don't really do anymore, and you can't buy maps either, so you'd have to make sure to gather your daily map and just hope you get it.
