That .15 patch definitely feels like a miracle as far as weapon content goes, it's like he finally locked in and went 'time for some gun staples everyone loves' and this year it's just been the lamest fucking additions ever. Here's a .338 Sako rifle that you can't get your hands on unless you farm Birdeye or do a task that will take 100+ hours. Because of all these reasons, Twitch's audience is scattering to other platforms. Americans are moving to things like Kick or even YouTube, while we’re massively shifting to platforms like VK Video.

You can see that in 2024, there was a drop precisely because VK Video became a serious competitor to Twitch in the CIS, and Tarkov has a HUGE audience in the CIS.

So, Tarkov’s viewership is STILL THE SAME, but it’s now spread across a bunch of platforms instead of being concentrated on one like before.

[Feedback] I love hardcore, it should become the new standard. This is how the game should be experienced. People have gotten too comfortable. I like that I had to completely change how I play in wipe. For the past few years, all players have been doing the same thing. It can be tough, but honestly, it was getting boring, repetitive, and felt like everything was figured out. Hardcore has really changed things for the better. All those little joys we took for granted, like meds and ammo up the butt, are gone. It’s a struggle just to make it to the woods. Gear feels valuable again, and having to worry about using up all my good ammo/meds makes every moment even more significant. Having bosses at 100% is also working great. It provides an opportunity to get better gear not through random quests or keys, but by fighting for loot from a boss in a raid. And the payoff, as it should be, is huge. If you extract with boss gear, then yeah, you should feel like a boss using it in subsequent raids. Early in my career, I was collecting Tagilla gear. I have quite a bit of it, and I use it for quests; the armor lets me survive fights I otherwise wouldn’t.

I felt compelled to share this because it seems like I’m in the minority. There’s a lot of negative feedback. I think you guys are too attached to a certain experience, and any threat to that causes some panic. I urge you to be open and embrace the challenge boldly, don’t worry about the “game as a whole,” that’s not your job. Just try to have fun, because, as I said, this is the most fun I’ve ever had in Tarkov. Stop worrying about what it should be and experience what it actually is.

Bosses should always be near-guaranteed imo, especially if they make the maps any larger and/or add any more grindy kill achievements with rewards, even if it's like a 30% chance on raid start and then you can do something that spawns them if they weren't already there (Killa comes out of a bathroom or locked door when Kiba is opened, Glukhar spawns when both D2 + Hermetic are active or when train arrives, etc.)

Occasionally, though the faster you go, the less opportunity they have to set up somewhere, unless they've been sitting there for ages. The other thing with going fast is you become a surprisingly difficult target. Obviously pre-medding is harder now, so you can be fucked over by leg shots, but c'est la vie.
Crossing obvious chokepoints, especially if you have reason to believe someone's in there, is always a challenge. It's why streamniggers always run past doors a few times before going through them. Liberal application of grenades can help if you know someone's on the other side, otherwise you just have to treat dangerous corners like there's someone there and bait out some kind of movement or shot, or get a quick glance, for example by running past doors, or making it seem like you're about to cross the corner but then not, or popping out for just a nanosecond (unpredictably, don't just waltz up to the corner at a steady pace, and never run straight forward, always zigzag).
As with everything in Tarkov a ton of it comes down to map knowledge and knowing which angles you're exposed on, where best to move from A to B, and alternate routes in case something comes up. You feel it more than think about it eventually.
Also sneaking just plain doesn't work. Minimum encumbrance, slowest crouch walk, I'm ALWAYS still heard anyway from any distance. People claim it's silent, it's not, and apparently it's more like a jet engine exploding than anything.

So is no meds in butthole just a temporary thing for this wipe or permanent?

Guys, as a standard account player, this wipe is so shit. I'm level 6, played on the first day of the wipe, killed Reshala a couple of times and died a bunch to the rats camping transits. Got like 10k roubles. There is nothing hardcore about this wipe it's just plain dumb. Nikigay just overpriced everything and that's it.

Alright hardcore bros, i've been doing a few raids. I think I'll stop actively playing until they address transits a little bit, do an event, or just update the game a little bit.

Hobo fights were fun but the raids aren't really fun right now because everyone is just camping their spawn and waiting 25 minutes until they can move.

They're all relatively easy if you get lucky with spawns and your approach. Reshala guys often clump up in one room on dorms and can be flushed out with a grenade, much more dangerous on gas or construction. Goons are also really easy on Customs if they stay near the RUAF side. Glukhar is really easy inside Black Pawn or underground. Kaban you can sneak in from the back or kill them one-by-one from distance and abuse the mounted gun magnetism they have. Kollontay is really easy in every location he is in. Killa is a bit tarded because I don't think I've ever fought him uncontested but middle of the mall is when he can be snuck up on the easiest. Tagilla caught in the tunnels is easier than taking candy from a baby, there's a reason why he's so popular to farm. Sanitar is easy in Resort unless you manage to get into the villas before aggroing him then they'll just line up for headshots when entering the room you are in. Shturman and Lightkeepeer guard you just click from far away but bring big gun for Lighthouse and make sure to kill the main guy first. It's all just abusing cover to click them before their instant-kill headshot beam charges up.

I'm stuck at around a million rubles, I've been focused on building my hide out and not farming money.

I usually take around 2 to 3 extra mags with spare ammo, since im a solo i have to do all my fighting. I typically wear a lvl2/lvl 3 vest with back pack and rig with a ski mask. I won't play with scav weapons since they are prone to jamming.

nearly all of my weapons have come from barter or discovery. Back packs have all been looted.

My absolute biggest money sink is healing kits and body armor. I'm struggling to get the barters for them, but I've got AKs, UMP and MP5 coming out my ass.

My hot take that makes everyone angry is that they killed hobo fights when Nikita caved and lowered the recoil across the board.
It's instantly more gratifying to have low recoil, but with any automatic gun, someone can just left click at your torso and kill you in half a second.

hobo fights were because we all had unmodded m4s/aks and needed to semi auto(or spray and pray, hit arms legs, etc, instead of torso and head instantly)
this resulted in 2 things. not dying the second someone spots you, and also fights resulting in both parties getting wounded. Both going into cover and desperately stopping bleeding. Talking shit. Contemplating limping away and letting them have the loot, etc.

Those were the hilarious hobo fights. Currently you can put a red dot on an m4 and you're not a hobo anymore, so that phase is gone. You can seethe, or you can just say you prefer the way it is now (I'm indifferent, still my favorite game) but you know it's true. Hobo fights are dead and they're never coming back.

Honestly, I'm having way more fun in Arena than in the main game (Arena fucking blows btw). The last dozen raids, I've been taken out by some bush wookie or rat camping in a corner. I'm completely fed up with digging through crates and bags looking for toothpaste, only to get killed by someone wasting both my time and theirs just to loot torn-up soft body armor and an AK-74U loaded with garbage ammo from my corpse.

You should be unable to shoot your gun for up to 3 seconds after sprinting and if you sprint any longer than a couple seconds, your gun is ultra wobbly and unstable for at least 20 seconds. This is a tactical shooter, not call of duty.

Only bother playing Assault or Scout if you wanna sweat, though Marksman is still alright if you're good with a SR-25 or RSASS. Meta M4 ideally or meta AK74 if you prefer lower RoF. HK might be just as good but I never tried it. MP9-N, .45 Vector, MCX or SR3 for Scout.
If you think your aim sucks you can use some high recoil guns that randomly hit people in the face half of the time, try the SA-58 for that.
For Assault just wear an ULACH and whichever armored rig that covers the most hitboxes. I don't remember if you can still change the plates to level 5, but do that if you can. Doesn't matter much.
For Scout you can do pretty much the same, though I don't bother with an helmet and wear small armor cause again it doesn't matter a lot, people will instantly kill you no matter what in Arena.
