all healer specs are viable. it's not that complicated if your requirement is to heal, you can play any healing spec you want.
for raid tanking: warrior and druid.

On a serious note, the actual issue is that V+ was "Vanilla as envisioned by cryboomer tales" aka actually hard, high attention requiring, utterly scuffed, incredibly fucking grindy, more pvp incentives and more 'muh world' (flight paths are le bad, you aren't in le world when safely flying :^)!! So we removed over half of them, etc...).
All the systems are designed around actual RPG bullshit that people think is super duper fun in paper, like crafting your tier with dungeon items and raid pieces (Which, btw, still only dropped two in a 40 man raid that requires the 30+ raiders to be 'at least' blue parsers equivalents), pulls require CC unless you are super geared, very often the design team would just tell you to "figure it out ;)" after they shit out an actual schizo spec cough, paladin tank, cough.
All of this made the server functionally unplayable unless you where willing to poop sock, which nobody is for a fucking pserver, which in turn made the server shat itself because it was designed around a blizzlike pop of 1k or so. Imagine trying to progress actually hard fights with (for vanilla) complicated mechanics in MC with a server that has a raiding population of 50. Your MT is shit? Get fucked, you don't get another that's your MT forever now. Half the population doesn't speak english? Get dumpstered and get a translator, you don't get another 20 retards. Half the pop refuses to use consooms because they are retards? Once more, get fucked, etc...
This dead server means the devs didn't feel like adding more shit.
Basically, You think you do, but you actually really fucking don't, otherwise you'd be playing something else, like, dark tide, dota, quake or even playing retail and doing mythic raids because the gameplay loop of "Do Hard Content To Flex On Retards And Do More Harder Content" hasn't been altered and re-designed to filter low iq malding faggots.

i am the anon that started posting the bug tracker right after i found out they announced a launch date. my immediate prediction was that there would be no way in hell they would get through all of the issues on this "launch-blocking" list before launch. at first i thought they would delay launch as a result, but looks like this is the tip of the iceberg of many more such issues that they have been able to fix, so they are taking an informed risk on going live despite the clusterfuck of bugs.
for reference, in the past ~3 weeks they've only managed to knock 10 bugs off this list. it started around 75 i believe.
while it does look fucking terrible and total amateur hour for them to even be dealing with fundamental gameplay bugs such as these a couple weeks before launch... sometimes you've just gotta ship it.
they will have another 1-2 months of normies casually leveling before most of these issues start causing people to quit.
but since this is F2P, it's not like the stakes are incredibly high. most people can handle playing on both epoch and their main server of choice while these ecock noob devs get their shit straight.
but do expect launch to be an extended beta test period. i would predict AT LEAST 6 more months until the server is in a bug-free state.

concurrency bugs are notoriously the most difficult to deal with in any complex system. they might even be lacking a fundamental understanding on how their system handles concurrency.
the other (sort of) inexplicable thing is why these elements weren't prioritized for the beginning of the dev cycle, before any custom content. the nice thing is that for much of these issues, it's possible to get good automated test coverage. you code up various ability sequences and have them replayed vs. target dummies with automatic checks on whether expected results are being achieved. these tests are re-run every time you make major changes to avoid unexpectedly breaking something throughout the dev cycle (common issue. if this sounds complicated to a non-coder... it's not. this sort of automated test scheme falls under dev 101 best practices.
so even if fixing these bugs is a bitch (due to the afformentioned concurrency issues), a majority of what i am seeing in their issue tracker should have been detected like 3 years ago.
there is a distinct possibility though that they've coded themselves into a corner and some of this shit will be unfixable without scrapping their TypeScript experiment and starting over. if so, it will be very sad for them.
