You will get a lot of SSR and you need them to break the 160 wall; it requires 4 copies (1 base plus 3) of five specific SSR characters to surpass it and this is extremely important for the game, you also need to add friends (at least 25 iirc) ASAP to send/receive bands because the friendship banner is CORE. Also if you have the opportunity to pick dupes of a SSR character you do it, focus on the best ones, you can waifufag after that.

Sandman is better than I expected him to be. Big bulky tank who jumps into the fray taunting everything.

Sandwoman is also very good, but a bit fragile and as a full moon character she competes with the other heavy hitters for bloodsoul.

I have progressed a bit in the campaign and noticed that even SSRs are capped at 80 without dupes.
Does this mean I'm better off transferring the XP to SRs and then Transfusing the SSRs?
If it's like Nikke, it will probably take so long to reach 160 across 5 characters that, by that time, I'll probably have 3x dupes on 5 SSRs to then hop the XP back on them.

I'm disappointed that the summer event lacks male characters. I was attracted to this game because of the art style and music, and stayed because of Augustine.
Seeing his character illustration made me a bit hopeful that this would be a game that catered to multiple tastes, but I'm worried it's falling into the waifu-only type of games that we have multiple duplicates of. I'm even considering just letting the game go now that I see how they plan to serve only one set of players

I don't think selling skins for this game will work in the same way Nikke does. In Nikke you're seeing your characters up close when you play. In this game you only see a little 3d sprite on the field... I guess you can look at the jpeg in your menu but you can do that anyways and for free.

I'm okay with budget 3D models but the way they're utilized is amateurish. Characters sometimes get stuck emoting in animation loops or they don't have smooth transitions from one animation/pose to another. And the camera is always so far away from the action that they may as well just use talking portraits because there's no sense of direction majority of time. What I think I got from Dalcarlo's event is that she was the mystic of the Pontos and at some point they rescued a cat, Jacintha. The Pontos wrecked near that island, the crew got messed up and both Dalcarlo and Jacintha got infected with black blood. Dalcarlo died, but the infection made it so that her memories and powers fused with Jacintha, turning them into what we see today.

It's actually hilarious how she's one of the first characters you meet, but basically drops out of the story entirely the moment you're done in the castle, while Empousa and Aiona (the second of which you met after Setti) are with you constantly. Noah meets Jestel after enough other characters that it doesn't seem as weird to me. Especially since she's pretty much just on the Empousa train and doesn't come across as especially connected to Noah, unlike Setti. Makes sense to me that she'd be in the castle guarding Empousa's shit. Also, at least she gets to be relevant until a player gets Bella, gameplay wise! Between that and the starlit memoirs, she's doing alright!

Some voices are great (Noah for instance is very good), most are at least decent, and a tiny handful are a bit grating. Normally I do jp voices but I'm happy with English in this game. Worth switching, as long as it doesn't bother you that voice and text don't always match perfectly.

Not much point switching if you're at/near 12 though, because voices abruptly disappear. Bad choice on their part in my opinion, because at least for me 12 is also the point where progression stops being smooth and suddenly you start needing to do a couple days of leveling up before you can progress more than one or two story battles further (as in, the 12-x battles with story scenes rather than just "defeat the enemies" 12-x-y ones). Voice acting removal makes it harder to stay invested, and so does only experiencing one or two scenes every few days — getting hit with both at once is rough.

Putting aside the weird time and lifespan stuff, physically he's meant to be somewhere in his 20s as far as I can tell, not some teenager. He definitely comes across as older than several of the characters who are established to be 20+, based on how he's written and how he interacts with them.
