Cosmetics are too much of a grind, the intro questline is way too long especially the 'explore oribos!!' RP stuff that bugs out. The story was ruined a ton in this expansion, trampled upon. The quests and not being able to fly SUCKED. Half the zones (Especially the maw) were annoying to traverse and awful to look at. The added content throughout the expansion was genuinely awful, Boreghast was awful. Being locked into certain covenants for a good spell (numbers or feeling wise) sucked.

'Another forest' and all, but its a visually distinct and fantastically stylized forest that separates itself heavily from the others. The last one to do that was Crystalsong Forest, and that was a small zone of fucking nothing but the expansions hub city.

We are in the world soul saga.
Denathrius is still alive, and the Dreadlords are still active at least outside the games current story.
Denathrius and the Dreadlords have one of the strongest ties to Sargeras who stabbed Azeroth with the giant ass sword that was clearly mentioned in the cinematic.
When Azeroth was stabbed Azerite began to bubble up.
Azerite was drained from Azeroth by the J'lor himself.
The Brokers are also from Karesh and exist in the Shadowlands.
The devourers while so far only being shown to devour anima have various mutated versions and have been shown to be eating physical corpses.
Halls of Atonement isn't being brought back in particular for its love but to remind people of Denathrius.
Denathrius and the Dreadlords are either going to set the Devourers on Azeroth, and free Sargeras to stop them (or maybe we do) and some Broker boys are going to be working along side him to transport or gain access. Either that or upon Dimensius's defeat they will set them upon Karesh as part of some "Hour of the Forsaken... I mean Broker" plotline, which then shows them eye'ing Azeroth while we have to flee.
Where does Xalatoes fit in? I'm not sure. Maybe a partner to Denathrius of some sort. Maybe this will be the next plot point of lesser evil for the greater good (90% of why I genuinely think the above nonsense is feasible.)
