We need to get rid of chaos orbs as the de facto trading currency. I don't pay for my Starbucks by counting out individual pennies, and I don't want your pennies in PoE either. Keep your fucking pennies.

There is a REALLY simple solution to the chaos orb problem that would save me 7000 gold every time you trade me pennies. I think Mercs will go core.

Ok before you obliterate me, hear me out. Mercenaries has been a popular mechanic and has increased build diversity greatly this league. Even just being able to supplement your character with an external aura source is strong. They also allow a new path of play for solo players: being able to aurabot without needing another player. This also opens up a totally different play style for SSF that wasn't available before.

The elephant in the room
Doryani's Prototype has definitely thrown the balance of Mercs out of whack. I don't think this is a difficult fix, something like capping Mercs' resists at 0 minimum and 75 maximum, not being able to change their resists from 75, etc. would bring this particular item in line and also open up the field for more experimentation instead of just Doryani's being the best thing to use by default and shoehorning it into every build possible. There's still the issue of overcapping with Formless Flame and Enmity's Embrace, but it isn't like GGG couldn't just cause Mercs to be unaffected by them. I could even see something like "this mod does not affect Mercenaries" as a part of some unique mod descriptors being a possibility. Pyroclastic mines of sabotage would probably also require a balance pass of some kind given the astronomically goofy amount of damage it can add with simply a few sockets of investment, if I'm not mistaken this was already a thing in some niche builds before 3.26.

Atlas If GGG decided to put Mercs on the Atlas, there are a number of mechanics they could add for them. Increased chance to encounter Mercs or Mercs of specific types, improved loot from Merc inventory, Merc damage is increased/decreased while your damage is decreased/increased (respectively), being able to exile more Merc types at a time, start with a random Merc helping you when you enter a map but doesn't give the opportunity to hire, etc.

I finished killing ubers with animated weapons since I never tried that build and holy fuck people who said that this skill is janky as fuck were right, I never could quite find the right setup for bone offering since theres no trigger wand in this build and arcanist brand for that was functional but it sucked. That being said the single target damage was pretty fucking amazing

Can tears show up in T17?

50 milli boats are 1.5 mirror shard average. 17 milli boats are 0.5 mirror shard average. I sent boats every 7.655 days in Settlers (yes that's exactly how long it takes when farmermaxxed and dustmaxxed) and this league and the returns are identical to what they were in Settlers.

The only calculation to be done is whether the valuable tattoo generation is 3x in 50 milli vs. 17 milli shipments. I've sold 10 suppress tattoos this league for ~7.5 divines each which feels nuts to me.

As for the "muh corn and wheat are cheaper" debate...they're not better. I can't believe the retards pushing this didn't take 5 seconds to actually check shipment values before spouting this nonsense. The blue zanth generates less crops per hour but ALL CROPS GIVE IDENTICAL SHIPMENT VALUE PER HOUR.

There's no evidence that fulfilling port quotas gives a reward bonus outside of the quota bonus either. You just get a little extra free shipment value. You can ignore them if you want.

Basically, just send 17 million or 50 million boats or if you don't want to gamble for mirror shards just send blue zanth to kalguur over and over and send shit ores to tattoofag ports for tattoos since all the items you're going to get are worthless anyways. Big shipments to kalguur ports might be just as good if you consider each big shipment is a fraction of an angler rune.

Also tried Eater which I thought would be ok but the beam was much bigger/faster and the aoe explosion had much bigger radius than I expected so I just chain-fed deaths to him, embarrassing. Judging by fragment amounts, next is probably Cortex (easy?) and Sirus (abysmal dogshit?). Damage-wise things seem really good but even with 6k hp I insta-die to most serious hits in uber fights, idk how to make oBAMA tankier at this point other than luckshitting mageybee.

first of all really consider if you want this to be a dagger because the spell damage implicit on wands is a lot higher value than dagger global crit chance and most builds cap crit chance effortlessly

for the next step you need the item to have "cant roll attacks", full suffixes, at least one open prefix and no other caster prefixes. so do a combination of annul + exalt to get it to that state (remember that you can craft "cant roll caster" to protect +1 all and remember that "remove a prefix, add a suffix" is a beast craft that exists)
harvest add / remove phys, with "cant roll attacks" that guarantees +1 phys but might remove +1 all in which case you have to restart
fill suffixes, craft prefixes cant be changed and veiled orb to get an unveiled prefix thats good for your build. if you get a bad veiled prefix you can always select a non-caster option and annul it safely with cant roll caster
as far as i can tell, in your pob spell dmg + nonchaos extra as chaos is as good as t1 spell damage while cold damage and spell dmg + mana regen are as good as t3 spell dmg
now you have an item with 3 correct prefixes and your fractured suffix, you just spam craft mana regen to block -> exalt -> prefixes cant be changed -> scour until you exalt something good, then you put on your crafted mod


cheap version:
fracture +1 all spell or high tier spell damage
chaos spam until you get the other and an open prefixes
fill suffixes and craft cant roll attacks, harvest add remove phys, hope your 2 prefixes stayed
veiled chaos the suffixes for something decent

or you can make the prefixes with recomb by doing spell dmg with +1 phys and +1 all with +1 phys and then recombing the 2 mod items but you will genuinely want to kill yourself its so bad to alt spam that many times and its probably more expensive when you factor in the time it takes to craft

Not really 1 per hour but you make around that in overall currency from harbs.

I think the average is 1.5 drop occurences per 10 maps, and the min I've seen is 2 stacks and 2 pieces each, so 4. Can highroll 2 stacks of 4, or extra highroll into full orbs. The maps take really long just because harbingers in general are pretty slow to finish channeling. And you can get a highroll mirror shard set.

This is normal t16 mapping though, T17's and 16.5's don't really improve harb drops and T17 massively slows down your farm rate.

You get a massive boost if you run an Eagon set with +3 harbs and +king chance though, 16 king harbingers per map is huge.

I've farmed a mirrors worth from Harb this league and yeah orb every 20 maps is pretty close, 3 frac drops usually averages out to a full orb.

3 mins per map is pretty quick, maybe the layout I'm doing it on isn't ideal (toxic sewer) but out of every league mechanic harb is the longest by far, if there's a better layout to make sure all harbs are triggered in 3 areas you can definitely cut down time, but I generally take around 5-7 minutes to clear, and this is 1 smite clearing my screen with pops + reserving 8% of the harbi life to make them die faster.

I do slot in betrayal which might be adding a minute, but it's basically free + high returns just from allflames + medallions.

They don't need to be nerfed Smite is a shit skill to play anyways

General's Cry is extremely hard to calculate in POB, that nobody actually does it.

It has a hard limit on CD/speed on skills since mirages are spawned sequentially every 300ms, but POB doesn't account for this so stuff like gem qual massively inflates the DPS numbers for it. Most of the people with weird POBs are using howlcrack to make GC 0 cooldown, which makes it nonfunctional in game but gives infinite DPS since it assumes you can spam GC nonstop.

Like 1.5s of damage * 10% * 8 hits / 4 seconds = +30% dps while it's active? And it wouldn't even need to be leveled?

I went str/dex with mana res efficiency. I use arctic armor because vfos has a long cast animation even with my 300div stick that I whack off with onto kitavas big bumhole. Once I get mageblood I can stop playing with 35% resistances in my 14 mod maps dude that’s like so stupid. Don’t do that. And basically. The theory is that we can take advantage of many of our passive tree nodes, while also reaching dodge cap. Which is like way cooler than energy shield right? Wrong. Energy shield is way cooler and you have to go ES to use the cock helmet. So that’s like another couple days away before I try that out. I don’t like mana reservation that much on my items I just crafted it that way from muscle memory because im a bot. I have to use the helmet I actually have to equip it.
