I played 5 matches of Maelstrom before jumping into Havoc. 2 of those matches I had guys who were unashamedly killing themselves, intentionally triggering Daemonhosts and the likes, because they had 0 intention of actually trying, and were just leeching off of the efforts of the 3 actual players. The other 2 just wouldn't respond to my chat messages and votekicks. Legitimately made me salty. Havoc has shitters, but at least they're not leeches.

This isn't even trolling though. I do this regularly because it's often the best course of action, depending on the map and location of the thing.
Otherwise you get situations like:

>some idiot inevitably steps too close or gets thrown into it by a mutant or trapper
>everyone panics even though daemonhosts just kill that one guy and then fuck off
It's even worse when a monstrosity spawns and they panic into the daemonhost.

On rare occasions, it can sometimes be safer to dispatch a daemonhost even in high havoc, just to create more room to move. You'll generally have enough damage and stagger to rape them, and are probably doing this with an upgraded medkit or medicae station to cleanse the corruption.

Arbitrator doesn't get a bubble with permanent uptime that entirely cucks the most dangerous enemies in Havoc. Arbitrator doesn't get a flame staff with infinite ammo and infinite cleave. Arbitrator doesn't get Smite. Arbitrator doesn't get the Dueling Sword, which by itself puts you on the same level of melee proficiency as the Arbitrator and Ogryn.

I would help you if I could, but it's not a class I find fun to play, so I don't know anything in-depth about it. You need to have your fundamental skills down though. It's not a forgiving class if you fuck up in melee a lot, so work on those first and foremost.
Arby isn't better at everything though. Psyker staves are very powerful and use no ammunition, which is important in high Havocs. Bubble is also better than Aquila.

What staff? Are you using the alt fire?
Bowling ball staff only works well against conga lines and armor, and even then it's kinda shit.
Shock staff left clicks are only good if fully built into it. Right clicks are single target and don't scale all that well with enemy density.
Fire staff feels like shit because fagshart can't make a fun flamethrower to save their lives, but is also hideously overpowered because it scales directly with enemy density.
Ground pound staff is a build check, but very strong when built correctly.

The deal with the bully club (Mk3b) is that it is so fast and deals so much stagger that you don't need to cleave shit. You regenerate so much toughness from its inherently fast attack speed, and like you said, you just use the Rumbler whenever it gets too much. It's also Ogryn's best weapon by far against void shields.

and if you're in big trouble, you press F. Play with the left side and right side F. Drop the cuckbubble.
Venting shriek lets to annihilate a horde instantly, and Scriers Gays lets you keep spamming at 100% for 10 seconds or so. And both can cancel your psyker stroke.

You can quell while sliding, and dodge slide while quelling. Utilize this.
If you can manage the APM requirement, you can even quickly switch to your knife, sprint and heavy attack for GOFAST, slide, and immediately swap back to your staff for quelling or blasting. I do this with flame staff.

Psygger has two main playstyles: slowly pressing forward killing the horde with a staff, or hamster on speed with scrier's gaze doing tons of crit DPS except one fuckup will kill you, compared to Zealot who has more crutches to fall back on (not to say anything about Arby or Ogryn).

Tried Lone Wolf for a H40 for the first time since Arbites release. Used the impact nades.
In conclusion, felt about the same as having dog, 'cept I had to rely on my ranged weapon about twice more. The more ammo talent seems like a must-have, even when I had the Combat Shotgun. This did open my eyes to how much ammo the dog helps me save.
I'll have to do more tests but they feel about the same in efficiency to me, or at least very close. Maybe it's more of a playstyle thing.
My damage numbers are about the same as with dog. Will have to do more playthroughs.

Of course you follow the rules, but there's Psychic Phenomena that's "safe", and then there's the next page that's Perils of the Warp. There's at least Favoured by the Warp talent to help with that, I don't remember what else it's been a while.

That part is normal and how it works intentionally, you get 10 stacks of arbites vigilant when using the combat ability with 10 stacks of forceful. the thing that makes it weird and bugged is how his forceful stacks reset to 9 every split second which causes the insane attack speed stacking. He doesn't actually seem to be taking damage, just realized you can see the toughness
So the question is really just why his forceful stacks are being removed. He's not being hit, enemies are CCd by chorus and mine and you can see his toughness is not being hit. The only conjecture I can come up with is that maybe forceful gets removed by FF and someone is shooting an autopistol into him, but I can spot nothing like that

Play it like a dedicated melee build, reload when opportune. Unyielding + puncture is really reliable boss damage, maniacs lets you bodyshot one-tap trappers outside of havoc. Last blessing is up to you. Damage to staggered works with concussive, but I prefer the accuracy from the sprint blessing.
Just whip it out when something that needs to die is out of range, and primarily melee otherwise. Realistically you should only need ammo pickups if a boss shows up, or you're playing in mutant spam and kinda need to shoot some of them dead. You can use it to occasionally shoot gunners, but I think you need unarmored or whatever dreg gunner head is, to one shot them.

Play with your most played class (should have the most levels then), set up the havoc meta loadout for the said class and then use the rarest title, frame and insignia you can.
The loadout is the most important part since many people who run havoc use mods, so they can see your build before they accept you, if you have the meta loadout equipped it at least shows you aren't a complete dumbass and understand what you need in havoc to survive.
Obviously you should also be proficient in using the said build as well.

This is what I at least do and I get accepted into H40s with my ogryn semi-frequently.
But it could also be that my ogryn is like lvl 1200, which gives off a decent impression.

I feel like this phenomenon might genuinely be a skill issue.
In havoc 40, people generally stick close together, and while positioning CAN be very dynamic based on team comp, people are usually pretty slow about actually creeping forward further than they already have. Since boss spawn triggers are more positioning based than they are time based, the only boss spam you can expect is timing based monstrosity reinforcements.
I've had this happen in h40 a small handful of times because we went a little too fast as a team, very early on in havoc 2.0 before everyone was used to the sheer amount of boss spawns it throws at you.

In havoc 20-30, you have a bunch of sub-humans that struggle in maelstroms and expect to get carried, so I imagine it's common some retard runs forward, triggers 2-3 boss spawns at the same time, instantly dies, another retard tries to go for a res, also dies, and the other two get overwhelmed into a wipe.

Then you try to hold there until you inevitably get overwhelmed with such massive numbers that you're forced to retreat a little toward the elevator.

As zealot, I just drop an immolation grenade, then try to stack up uncanny, or hold down my flamer for the strength blessing, or chorus in case we need to hold enemies in place. DD feels a lot better if you really want to hone in on critmaxxing and staying in scriers for as long as humanly possible, feels like you have way better value out of assail than the other blitzes because of the added crit and ability to spam them from the lingering effects while being topped off
But I also use lasguns (recon and pistols,) any shot will apply infernus since your crit is so high and it quells on top of it keeping it going for even longer while you can easily pick off specials much faster than BB. Doesn't even feel like griefing taking a gun either because lasguns are so ammo efficient that you only ever realistically need to top off like once in even the most sweaty aurics, usually from an ammocrate anyways.

I just played Legendary difficulty Vermintide 2 for the first time. And there was a real, non-autistic Norwegian girl playing necro in my lobby, on voice. That was crazy. can i get pointers as to how to build a ranged ogryn? I kinda like the skill that gives me 15 percent chance to not use ammo and the rest of the tree i just took what sounded good like more ammo or less damage from ranged enemies. This is what I typically use for LOOOGIN.
One of the most important things to know is that PBB flames get a boost out of rending, which you can get a 10% boost for 10 whole seconds on elite kill, which there is no shortage of on auric. This enables your guns to clear out bulwarks, crushers and whatever other armor comes your way by just spraying them while rending is active under PBB, it's a surprising amount of damage.
The Achlys twin stubbers are fun, but honestly they're kinda shitty because you can't actually use them effectively out of PBB, it's up often but it feels like dogshit without the active, and after defending the stubbers for years I can only strongly recommend you to try out the Ripper gun MK V instead, it just does everything the achyls wants to do except better, including clearing the entire screen of everything within an instant.
Melee weapon, and even blitz is entirely choice/preference. I take rock because I fucking hate mutants and it eases up your ammo usage for tagging the special that needs to die instantly, and you can already make a hilarious amount of space in an emergency if shit hits the fan by bracing and magdumping, but If you do take another blitz, drop bulletstorm under lucky bullet because honestly it's overkill enough as it is. The good shootin is a nice node to keep since it's an unconditional 15% crit chance on every shot

Use the Achlys mk VIII twin linked gun. It deploys super fast and it's surprisingly accurate if you fire in bursts.

Use the Ripper Mk V or II, they're great as well.

I recommend using a pickaxe with headtaker and slaughterer, then you don't need the bleed talent for melee. But use whatever you want.
The push talent at the middle bottom is extremely good for self defense.
There are 4 points left to put somewhere.
And yes I do go for the +15% fire rate because it's fun. But you can go with more damage if you're gay.

Toughness regen is mostly a preference if you use the ripperguns, the MKV has a funny quirk if you go below 68% or something ammo and use the toughness then inspiring barrage will proc on every shot. It's not entirely necessary either since you really should just be slide spamming like you would with any other class, ogryn doesn't have that much issue with gunner spam even in the wide open, and you really should not be using your gun as a primary. You can take it if you are having trouble with enemy shooters.

You have a few good options for blessings, the usual being blaze away and cavalcade if you really just want to reserve it for being a screen clear for huge elite swarms.
The unbraced mode is a quick shotgun, while the braced mode is more of a stationary rapidfire shotgun, the V is my preferred ripper but the II is also very nice since it has a much more manageable braced shot which only consumes one ammo in a volley making it more like an autogun.

Flak and maniac is a safe bet , there can be an argument to be made for replacing maniac with unyielding for boss damage

The cooldown is so short with regen on elite kill, and whatever other recharge nodes your team brings that you will have it up anytime you feel like you need more killing power, in fact the uptime is so high that you should really just worry about your ammo instead and try not to be too greedy, even with a looger build your melee is still potent. PBB instantly swaps to your gun and also reloads instantly, so if a situation is truly fucked then you can magdump and then immediately pbb when you hit zero to keep it going.

Sure, but if you do heavy stubbers then swap the flames on PBB to rending instead since you won't get much value out of high frontloaded single shot damage.

i think inspiring barrage is overkill since PBB already gives a lot of toughness when you're blasting. Combined with steady grip I feel pretty much invulnerable to ranged, and i think the blessing slots are too valuable to be spent on defense.
