You can get a lot of clamps from the event, but there is a buy cap. If you mean isleweaver itself (which will stay after the event) I think it's about the same timewise. The only difference is you get to be in your frame all the time, instead of playing a soulframe beta.

The only case where there is an objectively better choice is the extremely rare case where the "no shield" modifier is active but you'll be screwed no matter your frame in that case because that modifier sucks and I'm not even sure it actually exist. It's very likely that it has conflict with other modifiers making it get auto excluded if one of them is picked first and then has an extremely low weight. Since we only have 1 EDA per week, we only have 52 chances to see it per year. If DE gave ETA and EDA a 0.5% chance to have it if no other modifier conflicts with it then it could be years before we see it. Permanent injury is also fairly rare, I imagine that DE would make them mutually exclusive too since permanent injury with a no shield modifier would be just stupid, lethargic shields obviously conflict since there is no shield to delay, etc.

Have you ever played Dante? EDA enemies rarely do enough damage to break through 8k burst overguard, constantly regenerating, with 30k max. Dante's overguard gate is essentially always active because overguard is constantly being generated as long as you're getting kills, and Noctua is plenty strong for level 400 trash mobs.

I don't think you understand how little 50k overguard actually is in ehp. A level 400 rogue necramech deals 8904 damage per second while firing. The fragmented boss is even worse with some attacks hitting 100k damage. Even if his overguard is almost always active, you're forced to spam 224 the moment boss enemies appear or your team will just die.
Dante is my most played frame, I often go to level cap with him so I know pretty well how strong he is. But it's still a pain to need to spam your abilities constantly to stop your team from dying when one of them pick a shieldless frame. Now imagine what it's like if they all pick a shieldless frame, you included.
That's what makes him ass to play without shield. Madurai, 2 yellow shards and natural talent. Add as much speed as you can, it will still be unfun because you're now your own team's brief respite without catalyzing shield.

You need to reach phobos which is after mars and then go to the boss node (Iliad) and kill the boss there repeatedly, don't worry he is not too hard. He's basically a big corpus enemy with nothing special about him. You kill him until you get mag's chassis, systems and neuroptics. Once you got all 3 blueprints, you buy a mag blueprint from the market for credits. You then need to go to your foundry and build the 3 parts, you'll need to reach jupiter for that because you need a neural sensor from there, it's a fairly uncommon resource but you should get one or two fairly easily there. You also need a control module which you can easily obtain from the void which you just unlocked by beating the sergeant, how convenient. They're pretty common. You will also need a few more resources but we don't care about most of them since you should start having a small stock of them by that point. You will need to wait 12 hours for the parts to build but you can build all three of them at the same time. Then you will need to get an orokin cell which you can obtain in the same way as the neural sensor but this time from ceres. Now this is the most boring part, you will need to wait 3 days to build mag. You will then need to have a free warframe slot (which cost 20 platinum, the premium currency) and then you can play as mag. A fair warning, you need to pay 15k credits for each of the 3 parts when you build them, 25k for the blueprint and 25k to build mag so it cost a bit of credits. 95k total.

I liked the Isleweaver node for about a day or two when the novelty was still fresh and the pathos clamps kept rolling in.

Does anyone know for certain how many specters you can have up at once? Getting conflicted results from searching this. I've read that you can have as many specters as you have different specters, with the exception of warframe specters which occupy the same slot, but there's also a maximum of 10. Trying to use these things more after my team abandons me after 5 mins of endless

If you removed volts speed boost and shield with two generic electricity abilities, nobody would play him. Frost is already underplayed, and it'd be even worse if they removed snow globe.
Ember has no use case when compared to the other 3 base elemental frames, which is her problem. You never think "ember would be a good pick here" like saryn, frost, or volt. Because she just doesn't do anything unique.

Maybe they could add a bonus to radiation status effect where each stack gives any non-radiation (also pure heat or electric can't benefit) new status applied have a 10% chance to spread within 8 meters. She's basically just a fire mage. So a few ideas would be: summoning elementals, placing walls/rings of fire to cut off choke points, maybe summon a stationary mini sun that pulls in and burns anybody who gets close.
None of this would make her fully unique, just like how frost isn't the only defense frame, but you'd at least have a playstyle for her to fit in to.

First of all, she should have phoenix-themed death gate. Her passive could be a free revive that takes 5 minutes to recharge and helps for EDA and level cap.
She should also have a napalm ability that sets stationary frame to a zone for a while, and emit smoke that fucks with enemy accuracy.

For the sun and ring I was thinking more like qorvexs pillars, where you put it in a choke point and they spit out heat procs on everything. Again not completely unique, but you'd at least pick her for corner camping missions sometimes.
Fire elementals would allow new players to get introduced to the idea of summoner frames early on. Technically nekros is one, but his summons are more defensive than offensive. I'd also have them spew out heat procs just by being near enemies, since the AI in this game is so retarded.
