lily embodies master morality. we must first note her origins, being distinctly aristocratic in every sense of the word (this already gives us a sense of the moral alignment she might possess). she purposefully exerts her will to power over the slave moralists that have risen as the authorities at yamaku. an example of this is her withholding festival documents to demonstrate her authority over the student council, yet eventually conceding them as the good, noble sport must do in any rivalry. she utilizes shizune as a healthy outlet to rid herself of anger and the swell of negative emotions that might fill up in the healthy aristocrat, yet we must note that she distinctly does not *resent* shizune for this. lily also manipulates hisao into becoming her 'boyfriend' for the same purpose as her previous actions regarding the documents, above all she wishes to exert her will upon others, and hisao—being an exceptionally weak-willed and physically weak character—is a prime target for lily.

Unironically though, Death Of The Author (the reader decides what means what) is a powerful weapon.

Every character is just what you can read it as, based on your pre-existing knowledge and intuition.
Some are smitten by Lilly's good looks and her Debussy-esque OST and just assume, on the basis of that, that she's effectively an angel incarnate.
Others, often people who started as members of category 1 rather than jumping straight to here after reading the story, take their time to figure out that, whether intentionally or not, her character isn't exactly what she seems to be at first sight, there's more in the room than what you managed to catch a glimpse of when you visited it.
After all, shadow is created by light, so a lot of light easily amounts to a large shadow.

One could justify her actions in a less Nietzschean and more psychological manner by arguing that being soft-dumped by her parents has led her to believe that there's nothing wrong with getting rid of people if the situations indicates that they can still live without you. As in, she wouldn't have ghosted Hanako and Hisao if that had meant leaving them on a desert island with no food or lifeboats, but she has no qualms doing so when she's going to deprive them of nothing but her company. It just doesn't register as particularly insensitive to her, and in a way that's fully understandable.

Effectively, she's part angel and part devil, and very much a human being all in all, but her humanity comes across only once you sense and figure out her dark side.

I thinks part as to why Hanako is so popular is due to her "simplicity" and innate cuteness/innocence which is inherently attractive i'd say. Of course our girl is nothing but simple but again, its understandable that she doesnt make some people click. I would never a Emi or a Shizune but those who would, good on them. Having a Katawa that speaks to you on a personal level is just that, something personal, there's not exactly a right or wrong Katawa choice.

Funnily enough I felt that it was lillys route that was lacking big native events happening until the very end where they quickly try to unload it all at once. But I can see how Hanakos route also had the feeling of "cmon plot progress" and it felt like out of all the routes, thier relationship felt the most like it wouldn't last. What I did not like about Hanako's route was that you basically see only the outer shell of Hanako the whole time. You never see her real personality. In a way the story starts when it ends.

Well then let me take the time to shill this game I've gotten back into recently since I've gotten the TCG itch.
It's called Forge: The Magic: The Gathering Rules Engine.
It's a free fan-made MTG game.
I like to play adventure mode. You roam around the world fighting monsters with a matching deck theme. PIC RELATED is me fighting a Rusted golem with an golem artifact deck. Then they drop hold and cards from their deck.
There are also towns with shops that sells cards. (they've even added a shop that sells card packs from specific sets, which wasn't in it last time I played).
I think it has 99% of all the MTG cards ever made in it.
I'd recommend trying it. It's free after all. The only down-side I would say is it downloads the card art on the fly as you discover the cards, so if you're playing offline any new cards (and holy shit MTG has a LOT of cards) won't have art.

It would be awesome if there was a "open world" YGO game where you just travel around dueling other people. Maybe you could decide if you want to wager cards or [currency] for the match. Then there are shops, like Kaiba-Corp toy store for accessories, Yugioh's dad's store to buy single cards (random offerings), and Pegasus Store to buy card packs.
Then there could be tournaments, start out small at stores then big stuff like Duelist Kingdom and Battle City.

It kinda does. The Tag Force series does about all what you said and then some. You buy packs with the currency you get from duels, there's small storylines involving each character you meet in the game, there's also anime-exclusive cards that are playable, tournaments also take place, tag duels included and the best part of all "dating sim mechanics" You can increase your relation with characters by interacting with them, giving them gifts etc, earn benefits from it and team up for tag duels and such. I suggest you to look into those games, They started off in the GX era and ended around Arc V i think. For me, its Tag Force 5 since it runs on the format i first started playing the actual TCG and its, in my opinion, the best kind of YGO around, despite my dislike of Synchros.

I know it's hard for people who's brains have been rotted by the modern internet to understand, but some things take time, just because we've learned how to draw doesn't make us experts overnight, nor is the ability to draw an on off switch, something you either know completely or not at all. The biggest hurdle is when you tell yourself you can't draw. Like of course my art isn't the greatest, I see lots of areas that I need to improve, and I probably will never reach a high level. the inconsistency of her scaring, a future a human artist would put great care into, as it's a very important aspect of her design. Heck the Hanako on the left looks more like she just has a rash

The Hanako on the right seemed to have suffered a thumb amputation, and the shading around the knees makes it look like her legs are on backwards.

There's also just alot of inconsistency within the line work, where folds of the clothing only crese for a bit unaturally. Or parts where strands of hair seem to overlap themselves, it merge into her head or neck, you can really see it on her bow.

I'm not even that against ai art but it's just kinda fun to pick out where the ai can't replicate an artist. Like an I spy book
