While I love Shamir and she's my waifu I don't really care much for 3H as a whole, she's amazingly written thanks in part to it but she's far enough removed from a lot of the main conflict that she'd honestly be transferable to basically any other FE game and be the same character.

And I love Nel and I love Engage for its gameplay it again isn't all that great in terms of the overall package, since a lot of the characters don't appeal to me much

But holy fuck man TMS just knocks it out of the park for me. I love everything about it. Kiria is so fucking cool and cute and I genuinely think that IS used her as a stepping stone in designing characters like Shamir and Nel down the line

It's supposed to be the big anniversary game, but at the same time, IS wanted Engage to bring in a new demographic of kids into FE. Seems kinda odd to do that with an anniversary game which requires some knowledge of the older characters and games.
