All of them are a breeze after the first especially with the new huge winstreak bonus and being able to place past D1. I usually take a character to master whenever I haven't played for awhile to refresh and the biggest hurdle is really just retraining myself the first few sets to react to DI again and remembering their antiair. You shouldn't have a serious problem taking any other shoto to master past some early time spent learning their buttons. Pick a character you struggle fighting or are interested in if you want to make it worthwhile otherwise you'll improve faster just playing in master.

learning to beat basic offense/defense options with reads is so important in this game but its also so frustrating because people will force the game to be nothing but coinflips like this and you have like 2 chances per round to get the read or you lose.
