This time around, we have a lot of definite answers and the game's focus shifted to personal character arcs, and this little microcosm shifts to accommodate. I'm sure four years of personal growth for the people that stuck around also played a part, for those that have the capacity.

Kris is a masterclass in how much they fail to be a blank slate to project on to, even though they are specifically designed to capture the Early Teenage Angst that's assumed to have been a phase for basically any person who would play Deltarune. Despite the popular portrayal around these parts, everything points to them having been friends with most of the neighboring kids in the inevitable but shallow small town way, and that they do generally care for them, but have always had trouble expressing that in any way that the rest would be comfortable reciprocating. Catti is the only notable exception to this, since she's just as on the spectrum. That one friendship might *also* be the reason Kris is so adept at controlling the player by their choice of presented prompts and interpretations of our inputs, since from their perspective this might just be practical skills to deal with a potentially possession from their demon-summoning days. It leads to a soft Kris <3< (You) dynamic that I think *could* be fun for everyone involved, if Kris were not caught in in The Bullshit. They also make sure to let us and everyone around them know when their experience doesn't match what we're asking them to project, which is interesting in it's own right as these situations come up more often than any sort of actual expression on their part. A little autistic hedgehog we get to watch uncurl, put in a social sphere that's mostly foreign to their real life peers by now, that we now get to watch finally uncurl, with (or despite) our intervention.

Ralsei on the other hand, is a much more straightforward archetype. He is The Help, he's The Fluffy, and he's forced to also be the straight man of the fun gang. A lot of the stuff their character is set up to explore has been done before, an Athena that popped out fully grown but isn't wise to being a person. It's a fun trope, watching him find out how to live as anything but a plot device, and for the people who haven't seen a lot of that it's going to be a treat by chapter 6, but ultimately the things I find interesting about him is just figuring out the actual degree of dramatic irony that's going on. Ralsei is defined by Knowing, and he certainly seems to know a lot, both inherently and though having a fair degree of metanarrative awareness of the game he's in, but a lot of his memorable moments come from his not Knowing important things. I'm sure I'm going to cry my eyes out over his eventual tragic fate, but I also know that it will be in a soapy way, not in the sort of invested Tumblr treatment that Kris will get.

What are some lesser known strats to go the extra mile on this boss?
Currently I'm doing HoldBreath with Kris on round 1 and S-Action with susie round 1 (to have rude buster as the first option lol) and I just defend with Ralsei. Then I will mostly Defend with Kris and Ralsei until I need to use healing items while I spam Rude Buster with the timed button press for some extra damage. I think I've gotten his health to about 70% of what is needed but only like once or twice. I struggle the most with the 2nd sword move where you sorta have to go in a big circle and the set of fat shards that you have to weave in between especially during the second version where they swap you in between horizontal and vertical as you sometimes are positioned against the wall.

Like if I were playing, I'd have Ralsei attack on the first two turns, since I know I can dodge the PK Starstorm and sword laser attacks, then defend on the third turn because I'm not very good at dodging the shard attack and I know I'll get hit. You'll eventually develop this intuition the more you keep playing and dying against the Knight.
