You guys recommended I watch Three Kingdoms so I am. I love how CaoCao gets angry here, but only because it didn't make sense at first, and once it makes sense he becomes calm and rational about it. Great character moment, CaoCao is the best character by far.

I'm trying an Emperor Han Dang challenge in RotTK X right now and it's going as well as you'd expect. I was executed an hour into my first attempt since Sun Ce loved to throw everyone at unwinnable sieges against Liu Biao. Now I've made it a little farther but Cao Cao is starting to snowball in the north while the Little Conqueror isn't living up to his namesake. I might have to revolt sooner than later at this rate.

If at all possible, it’s advisable if not necessary to take Cao Cao out immediately when possible. His officers are too good and are handed to him via events along with provinces. I remember years ago doing a Liu Yu run and it was a race down to Luoyang to snipe the emperor from him while balancing Yuan Shao attacking me from behind (I already demolished Gongsun Zan)

Yeah I think that's the best strategy in every game in the series. Even in X where the events usually stop pretty fast after the start because most depend on the last happening to trigger, Cao Cao still has it so easy in most scenarios. Wei's my favorite kingdom but I don't play them often in RotTK just because of that.

The strategy is to conquer their cities faster than they conquer yours. The AI will only one and maybe two armies at best to the front line.

I think that'd be too big of an undertaking without it getting a huge budget which is exactly what KT and Nintendo like to avoid. They run lean, sustainable ships and being able to pump out Zelda musous with a ton of reused assets but millions of sales is very appealing to that mentality.

It's not levels, I beat him with level 300 Lu Bu and level 350 Ieyasu Hojo, more levels matters a lot but your team matters. Try to get stuff that gives +attack to your guy and your team, pick Lu Bu Army guys whenever you see them. Records of Sin aren't that important, get the Training Hall one for better treasures or free emblems. Treasure one is a mixed bag though, some are OP others suck shit, so I don't always feel like it. What matters the most is your team and transcendences. My Hojo run I summoned Lu Bu, Honda and some others with transcendent Chen Gong who summons all Lu Bu Army and Brave Generals (which is half the cast), and that melts, and Hojo ended up so tanky with Chen Gong's debuff that I barely even had to dodge. You don't even need a guy that summons X characters to beat traversal 6, I did it with Lu Xun twice without "summon me to summon whole team" guys, but he was 500+.

Hideyoshi is absolutely incredible in this game. He combines Zangief's close-rang grappling with Urien's long-range area control tools.
I looked up some of his combo videos and the amount of grab loops players can do with perfectly timed inputs is insane.

Depending on how well you perform in each character's story campaign, your resulting "reign" as ruler of Japan can last up to 9,999 years. Maybe even more (I'm assuming 9,999 years is the highest).
If you do poorly and get like only the worst possible scores/rankings in each mission, your "reign" will only last like 100-200 years.
Pic related. "Sengoku Ruler" is the highest score in each mission, whereas "Ronin" is the lowest. As you can see, the higher your score, the better your rewards (you also get whatever cumulative rewards are below your current score).

Yeah, enemy officers having near permanent super armour becomes a massive issue if they try to move to a particular location. You have very few attacks that can stop them from moving since they're NOT attacking you, and what you do have is limited by Bravery or Musou.

Pretty much. Lu Bu will do it on the second battle of Puyang too. Every time you hit him too far from the gates when he's trying to leave the castle, he'll just ignore you until he can run closer to the gate, then start attacking again.

The DLC includes costumes and only them (+ some karma points but the quantity is too small to matter so disregard them), every major patch brings balance changes and new, free characters and a paid costume DLC for the new guys, but those characters themselves are free, which is pretty customer friendly. I bought the most ultimate edition after the regular one as it was cheaper than buying DLC separately because I've played 100+ hours of Abyss, but it's just costumes, and some of these just don't really look good, like Takakage gets his dad's costume that looks fucking stupid and 10 times worse than being an orange FE Robin, and Hanbei's costume looks nice but the sandals clip through the floor 100% of the time so he looks like he's walking barefoot, which I guess is not a bug but a feature for Hanbeifags. It wasn't a "good" purchase on its own merit, I know I wasted money, but I enjoyed it.

Could I start the Warriors Orochi series with 3? I never played 1 or 2 and it seems like Orochi has more of an overarching story rather than retellings
