At the start of the game, before you have done a lot of runs, its worth rolling for more relics because you don't have any good ones yet, or not enough of them.

In the middle of the game, its worth buying chalices and its fun to buy skins.

At the end of the game, so long as you have bought all of the chalices and any skins you actually want, there's no reason not to roll on the relic gacha. Most of it will be garbage, but you might get lucky so its better than holding onto it forever.

Surge sprint into him when he rushes towards you and cancel it when he starts his attack animation and he should miss you. If he does his open mouth attack instead then jump to the side or dash into it with proper timing. Jump his jumpable attacks (if you're not colorblind time your jumps to the change in the attack's color on the ground), surge sprint into him and slightly to the side to avoid the electric slam. Use the roar, storm phase start, the three slams (they're timed far enough so you can get a jump attack in if you have the range and position) and his face slams after the AoE as a punish window. You can also hit him after you charge into him for a running attack from a surge sprint. His jump face slam should never be able to hit you if you are out of his AoE range. This is for starters and what I can think of at the top of my head.

Block them on steam. Go to your match history (or just after a match) and there should be a "hold to view profile" button that brings up their steam. It will give you a matchmaking error when it tries to match you with them, which sucks, but at least it stops the game and you can just requeue.

Mark is your burst damage + it has huge iframes. He's one of the characters who's good for applying starting bonuses to his weapon and then just purpling the starter with smithing stones - always a good backup option if no good bow drops. Heavy attack auto snaps to groups and is also good as a shotgun (though it is laggy so it's not just a free shot)

The big damage on ironeye comes from two things; mark, and r2. Keep mark up ALWAYS. Make it your priority over anything except possibly reviving teammates. The mark pop is some of the best stagger and damage in the game, and even if it doesnt pop its still +10% damage for everyone. And use your R2s, get close and use that shotgun blast to hit all 3 and spam the shit out of it. You can rival Raider jumping attacks like this, its only barely less damage and you can do them much faster. Only use your r1s to revove someone distant, or attack while they're doing some wild spin move that you cant get close for.

Unless you have 7 weapons with "increased range damage" passives alongside a main purple bow with high attack, you're not going to be doing big damage with your R1s or your R2s. In fact, never assume you're going to do any damage with your R1s at all. At least 80% of your damage on bosses comes from popping your mark. It chunks everything super hard and is set off based on the amount of stagger damage done. Your heavy attacks as Ironeye (R2s) is what applies stagger. It's a little counter intuitive seeing as he's technically a ranged character, but as Ironeye you want to be in melee range whenever possible. Apply mark -> Spam R2s. That's how you play him optimally (with a bow). When you can or if you do, use a relic that gives you +1 to his skill. Not only is it invaluable as it gives a ton of iframes to dodge attacks, but it also gives you a second chance if the boss moves weird and causes you to miss. As soon as your mark pops, put it back on otherwise you're griefing.

I'll be honest, the DLC is not great.
Compared to the base game, it's a notable downgrade in almost all aspects.
Map design, enemy moveset design, quest design etc etc.
And all the newly introduced weapontypes that were initially interesting ended up getting nerfed so hard they're not at all viable outside of "challenge runs".
The boss design is admittedly good, but just how they look doesn't carry as much weight compared to how they feel to play against.
The questlines are contrived and complicated with no clear progression (the game also lacks guidance/sense of direction for the player).
The map, although beautiful, yes, is gameplay wise a big downgrade as well.
But most importantly of all... it lacks the SOVL, the feels, of base elden ring.
It's a shame really.
But as it stands (not like its going to change lol) it is absolutely not worth the pricetag.

the closer the loot drops are to the end boss, the better chance they have of being purples/legendary.
I've got so many good purples and legendaries from the loot drops in the royal revenant pit in city, and the 5 or 6 loot drops near the flame chariots in crater.

Yeah you can get ARC to 60 or so to maximize occult infusion. Poison moth flight is fun, I also suggest using regalia of eochaid, eleonoras poleblade and bloody helice as they'll all fit nicely into your build. Is it possible to get randomly two character-specific relic effects on one relic, like with Recluse's Bone-Like Stone? Because if not then that relic will probably always be best in slot and never get replaced which is a little bit dumb. The preset relics they give you through the shop are way too good, it almost makes relic farming feel pointless.

I'm finding that out in real time. I tried to set up different types of builds for the different chalices because it kinda seemed like the intention.
Then I realized the 1 preset per character meant that you only really run at most 1 meme build per guy and then every other build is essentially the same build but missing pieces due to the randomness.

If I set up a great chalice for every single one of my Wylder chalices they will all be varying degrees of +1 grapple, fire on ult, post-damage and shit like that.
They'll all be the same build but shittier than the last.
