Railgun getting QoL improvements right before the plasma cannon launches with the same exact charge up mechanic is possible, but if nothing about the railgun changes I would still say it's possible the plasma cannon is getting those improvements because arrowhead forgot the railgun existed some time ago.

After spending at least the past half year using only the Purifier against bots, I finally recently started bringing the Scythe, and honestly it really is true that you don't need AP3 to win. Yeah, it's nice to be able to just dump shitloads of damage on them instead of aiming for weak points, but Devastators are usually so slow that it's not that hard to pop their heads, even with a controller. Rocket Striders are also super vulnerable to just blowing up their rockets, it's not as guaranteed as head clicking since they tend to jerk and sway around as they run at you but it's still a viable solution. Berserkers can be cored with stomach shots, Troopers can just be tapped to death, so that just leaves Gunships and heavies as things you need your support weapon to deal with (and admittedly not being able to just explode Gunships to death with two or three shots is a bit painful).

It still kind of sucks if the Devastators and Rocket Striders start piling up into unmanageable numbers though. Purifier is just so good at heavy damage and crowd control that it's almost as strong as a support weapon. There's almost no reason to not use it except purely for the challenge.

What are some of the more solid stratagems for the bots. I can never really peg anything down I like. Bugs and Squids I got a few solid builds that feel good in my mouth. Bots I'm always at a loss of solid choices. I am a WASP enjoyer so that pretty much nullifies devs in a single tap and with an ammo sacrifice, hulk/tanks/turrets as well. I got the PP for skellybots and as a dev killing backup. AC/Rocket turrets are nice but their cool downs are so fucking long and they tend to get targeted. I hate being one of those assholes tossing barrages that makes the base unassailable for 20 seconds.

What should I be aiming at here?

This part is causing me conniptions. I get the strangest feeling that they'll somehow make your diver tankier than normal by accident when they disable limb deaths while you're wearing this armor or something.

Only if you get heavy melee'd or exploded or take a direct hit from super heavy caliber projectiles. Regular lower-caliber projectiles and chaff/medium melee will rarely ever gib, and even then only if the corpse is hit repeatedly after death (e.g. getting chainsawed by a gatling).

As you said, Wasp is godly because Devastators, Berserkers, Rocket Striders and Gunships can't exist in your general area without your explicit consent. AT Emplacement will trivialize everything. Portable Hellbomb lets you destroy Stratagem Jammers no muss no fuss. Walking Barrage lets you soften up outposts and the Mega Fort from range.

If you're comfy running WASP, I have the following things to suggest.
>make sure that your primary weapon and/or secondary lets you comfortably defeat devastators/rocket striders without the help of support weapons or stratagems
>the wasp is not good at killing factory striders. Consider temporarily calling down and using COMMANDO and concentrating all 4 shots either into one foot or into the "eye". This will kill the factory if you don't miss. The cuck chair can work too.

Another thing that I want to mention is that pyrotech "sparkler" grenades are GODLIKE vs bots. Toss a few at a tank and it will kill them. One of them will wreck a blob of devastators that drops onto your head. A handful tossed around a factory strider's feet will kill it. For me I kill factories with 1 quasar shot to the foot and then one or two sparklers to finish the foot off. They're a generalist answer to most anything that the bots can throw at you if you find yourself caught with your pants down with other options on cooldown.

Strafing run is way easier to target and does a lot of the same things you'd bring airstrike for. It destroys bot fabs, for one. Napalm Strike drops fewer bombs, and the bombs have a smaller explosion radius on top of doing less damage and having less armor penetration. We're talking a third of the damage and a third of the inner radius.

If there was literally any booster I could not care less what they do with it would be this.

I'm 100% ok with them experimenting and changing the hellpod boosters nobody picks to see if they can come up with a change that can make them more useful. I however think the FF hellpod boosters are so inherently detrimental to the player that I imagine any change to them that doesn't make them significantly stronger against the enemy which is the only reason anyone should ever pick them will simply not make them any more popular of a pick than before. Firebomb Hellpods does not do significant damage to enemies but players are extremely extremely fragile to fire damage. Because Stun Pods are limited by the call in time they are not very reliable to slow down an immediate threat since either you won't make it to the enemy in time that the stun is over or the enemy will have moved from the effective area before it lands... making the stun pods again mostly just an annoyance for players accidentally stunned by it when trying to get their stratagem items.

Here's what Firebomb HP needs: Firepower.
Give the explosion the destructive force of a Ultimatum mininuke. This will make the FB extremely deadly to players, but also extremely deadly to enemies and many structures. Anyone who picks this Booster will do so knowing that this is a Firebomb Hellpod run where everyone on the team needs to be fully aware that the hellpods are now deadly weapons against the enemy and deadly mistakes for the player.

Stun Hellpods should remain exactly the way it is right now, but it should come with the bonus of faster Hellpod call in time. A clear bonus to the player in any situation, paired with a boost to hellpods being used in a pinch to slow enemies.

And sure staggeing players less is neat, but that doesn't make it stronger against enemies. Because I don't think that buff will make Firebomb Hellpods more worth picking over the other significantly advantageous boosters. It doesn't provide enough usefulness to the player to justify it being dangerous to the player. I think making it extremely dangerous to the enemy, would make it worth being slightly more dangerous to the player than it is currently. All the change would really do in terms of damage against the player is to hammer it in that standing to close to the hellpods will kill you, which is usually already the case. Meanwhile they would become glorious weapons against the enemy in the hands of a capable and organized team.
