i like duckstation and swanstation on retroarch.
epsxe has a glitch where it plays music after you close it if any music is playing when you close it so avoid that one.
pcsxe rearmed has cool debugging features if you're into that but i think it's not as intuitive as the former emulators.

I am too busy to join the SMT1 playthrough but I want to warn people new to the game that doing things as simple as negotiation or defeating demons can shift your alignment so if you want a specific ending or use a specific demon it's kind of a fuck.
Also yes, alignment also doesn't allow you to use certain demons hence why Neutral is the most fun alignment to play.
Negotiation is also a good way to get money in the game, I find, at least at some points in the story.
