epsxe has a glitch where it plays music after you close it if any music is playing when you close it so avoid that one.

I am too busy to join the SMT1 playthrough but I want to warn people new to the game that doing things as simple as negotiation or defeating demons can shift your alignment so if you want a specific ending or use a specific demon it's kind of a fuck.
Also yes, alignment also doesn't allow you to use certain demons hence why Neutral is the most fun alignment to play.
Negotiation is also a good way to get money in the game, I find, at least at some points in the story.

Understandably the healer tells us he can't grow me a new arm so now even though I'm no longer in critical condition my arm is spurting blood and wasting my hp rapidly. I remember a retired arena fighter telling us that he got a cybernetic arm from the clinic in Ginza so we make that a major priority after miraculously luckshiting my way to a terminal in the very next city I visited.
My memory just barely manages to guide me to the clinic without problems and pay 5 grand for a new arm that also comes with a boost in demon storage capacity. For the grimdark future of 199x post-apocalyptic Japan medical costs are actually pretty reasonable.
Later I checked the shibuya statue hell portal again. I had assumed it would be a strength check to obtain the sword there but in fact it was a completely random macguffin that the priest gave to me for slaying the basilisk. We also free an imprisoned Naga who joins our team. The sword that came from this zone is significantly less suspicious than the Nihil sword being a much more reasonable if still very good 6 attack at 1d8 hits, so it will pair well with my new cyborg arm.
