You can do a lot with the base gposing tools, but get Brio and it'll allow a whole new degree of freedom. Beyond that, it's pretty much down to what (You) want to do. Most of my gposing ideas boil down to "what if I did this meme in an ffxiv context haha" or other odd ideas.

Gpose allows you to use your character as a medium to express yourself, and I think that's pretty cool.

Use brio or Ktisis. Brio is better overall, but the beta of Ktisis has fancy lighting.
Getting good boils down to practice. I recommend you start with premade poses or emotes, then adjust them as practice for when you're starting out. We all suck at posing when we started too, so don't feel too bad if your first dozen pics aren't as good as you want them to be.
Face posing is another beast entirely. It's super difficult compared to body posing.

I think you can get away with not delving too much in lights and framing as long as they're not terrible, posing is the crux of it. What you want in a good posing is focusing on the kind of vibe you want to give and then, your silhouette. Try to make it interesting. Imagine if the subject you're posing was opaque black, how would the silhouette look? Would it be an uninteresting square/ball? Then maybe try to open the arms. Move the waist a bit to creates dynamics. Then you can create power lines, for example you can create pleasant curves playing with the curves of your body if you have a tail. Lot more to explain really and it's difficult to do so here, but if you're serious about your posing journey, look at references like artists do, copy stuff you like, but more than copying, try to understand why you like what you like

This thing is such a god tier mount.

I remember getting it way back on the meme free trial. I remember asking here which mount I should get with my points, and this won, and I have never regretted getting it. It's been in my mount rotation I think the longest of any mount that is still in my favorites list. I'm always happy when it pops up in rotation. I love his little waddle and the little water droplet bouncing back and forth. Also, it's a "small" mount. Over the years, I've found that I dislike any mount that is large enough to sort of displace your character or move your screen. There are a bunch of cool mounts that have lost their spot in my favorites simply because they're just too large and I don't like dismounting and then needing to wait for my character to fall to the ground.

Alright so, few things. Providing an edited catbox:

Yellow lines, be careful with those, especialy the ones at the bottom, a lot of convergeance like that draws the eye, which is not the purpose here since we want to look at your character. Another thing is cutting them on the border like that is something you want to avoid especially at the bottom, if you're going to cut them, try to cut them so we're not missing just a little corner. The yellow lines on top are mostly for the corner on the upper left, you want to avoid small areas like that.

Now for the green lines, the fact that the stone is getting hit by light like that is distracting and taking away from your character. Try to avoid that. Which would also help the fact that most of the light is hitting her legs/tummy when the point of interest are usualy face/Boobs, unless you pose it to be something else. Here the pose is pretty neutral as to what you want us to look at. Try to play with the focal length, try to put depth in the way you pose her, she's pretty flat here. Don't be afraid to get closer to the camera, full body shots are not easy because unless you pose it nicely, people's eyes will get drowned.

For the blue lines, careful in front of what your character is posing. If possible avoid putting things like tails in front of other object, have a unified background when possible, or as unified as it can be, here you'd just want to pose any part of her body in front of the characters.

For the red it's partialy what I already said, but considering how she's dressed, I assume you would want her to look at her boobs and face, so try to put emphasis on those parts, get closer, turn your camera etc... So first thing I wanna say is that is genuinly pretty good on the composition front. There's a lot of depth, you even put in the effort to have grass on the foreground, then we have the cave, then the outside with the tree/mountain and the sky on top of it, that's great. The walls cover the edge of the frame in a pleasant way, the only thing I'd change is what I circled at the top, would be great if we could have had just a tiny bit more of tree so we don't have that hard edge so close to the border, but it's nit picking. Now for the poses, I think one simple thing to already make the picture better would be to slightly move the bird to the right so his beak isn't in the branch, he will stand out on a unified background ((the sky)). Now for your aura, it's a bit tricky. Ideally, it would be great to have her face be more isolated, but you're also a bit stuck with the spot you choose, and considering the framing of the tree is great, you don't want to move her too much or your camera to ruin that. One thing you could have done perhaps would be to do what I will drawn in green. So body more to the right, that way the face isn't in the tree in the middle. It still has the issue that it will be smack in the middle of the branch coming from the top, but sometimes you can't have it perfect, so here you's just reducing overlaps as much as possible. It's also not as bad since your outfit is blue and it stands out enough. That's for composition/posing stuff. For me the biggest problem of this picture is the colors, it's a bit difficult to look at because it's really bright and everything is quite burnt, but that also depends on what type of monitors you use so... might look quite different on your end. I'm also not a lightning specialist, that's the topic I have the least experience with but still, I do think the colors are just too agressive overall. So colors aside, it's a really good picture in my book
