That's what they rolled with in CP77, and a lot of people both straight and gay/lesbo were pissed they couldn't romance everyone in that game (Panam is best girl anyway, so I lucked out picking Male V). If there's one positive take away when it comes to how Starfield approached romance, it's that not only could you date all four of the Constellation companions simultaneously (provided you romanced Andreja first), but you could also marry them.

It's an actual freeform sandbox space RPG that other AAA studios wouldn't even bother to risk make, with an actually good gameplay feel. It has the older things people clamored for: the character/skill system restricting jack-of-all-trades, less NPCs that fellates you right out the bat, a non-save-the-world story

You can build modular ships, board and hijack ships. Do you know how long people wanted that sort of thing in a space game?

The "meta" way the story plays out with Unity. We've seen people actually turning into the Hunter as they just jump and jump the verses until they burn out

-The main narrative is very short, you'll find that most of the meat of the DLC is in the side content
-Most of this DLC's content is isolated to it's own areas and has little to no bearing on the main game aside from what you choose to do in the end, so don't expect it to overhaul anything
-It provides you with some new gear, but not much.
-There's some new outpost parts
-There's also no new ship parts
-You don't get any new Starborn powers from it
-You get two companions who are a little bit better than the non-Constellation companions, but you can't romance them
-Ideally you'll want to take Andreja with you during this questline as she has the most to say about Dazra, including some lore drops,
-If you want a more deeper understanding of what happened to Dazra's citizens, bring Barret along with you during some of the main quest segments next time, particularly whenever Anasko appears

In my opinion Starfield's biggest issue is that it's too ambitious but also has to release. If the worldspace is more like Skyrim's it would at least win some acclaim, sell much better, and grognards would at least begrudgingly the more old-school RPG sensibilities (backgrounds, disincentivizing jack-of-all-trades, skill checks for dialogues and gameplay) is what made it great. But of course the truth of what made it great is just because it has Skyrim's exploration, everything else doesn't matter as much as purists would say.

Watching Alex use her Sandevistan to kill those guys was cool, "Ohh so that's what looks like when you use a sandevistan in battle".

Meanwhile in Starfield, you know Barret did a lot of cool stuff, because Lin and Heller will narrate all the cool things Barret did, but actually allowing you to see Barret doing anything? Yeah...no. And the game is filled with little moments like this, characters just standing around narrating things to you or awkwardly walking to very specific spots so that the game can trigger some new animation.

Not every quest needs a big cinematic moment, but a decent cinematic of Barret stomping some pirates would feel far more natural than the weird dialogue Lin and Heller have, you could even give Barret a Starborn power like Phased time to get the player intrigued by the Starborn stuff earlier.

At the end of the day, the guys at Bethesda are not stupid, they know npcs narrating things for you is not good for the game, even less in a industry where decent cinematic are common in AAA games. Covid and looming deadlines must have royally fucked this game.

I really don't think covid did anything to a game that was probably worked on remotely. Its not like they would have gathered to mocap a bunch of cinematics if they could have. Skyrim had about the same number of mocap'ed scenes. Its just not something they see a lot of value in.
Meanwhile Cyberpunk and BG3 have motion capture for most all of their scenes, even the less important scenes. And a huge library of generic animations they use across their games that are subtle and don't look like they're being repeated. Meanwhile people got so sick of seeing that stupid spin death in Skyrim that they modded it out.
