so I reckon what was happening was with the shader cache limit being low it was constantly rotating out shaders and reloading others which was causing the fps drops, but I think this was also causing crashes too. I originally thought the crashes were vfos bugging out. because they seemed so random. but then I crashed once when I was idle in a map. and it just started to seem random as fuck. but if the crashes were because shaders were reloading and causing issues mid-game then that would make sense as to why they were random, because it could happen with any shader at any time depending on when the limit was reached and whether or not a shader inparticular was still in the cache

also I stupidly had my fps hard locked via nvidia control center to 60fps back from when that was the only solution to fix screen tearing on a classic final fantasy I was playing. when in-game everything was set to 100fps

They "ruined" it by removing quality crafts (didn't really ruin it, they simply changed the availability of 30% quality items), then it was just a glorified Grav farm for a patch or two (very good), and now the Grav farm got a little nerfed but they added a bunch of crafting sprees, gold for uniques, plain gold, reflecting mist crafts.

obliteration having 0 cast speed is pretty awful because penance brand needs time to ramp and yeah the explode isnt great because its the wrong damage type. its not hard to get an explode chest if you already have a character, just harvest phys reforge until you get t1 explode its like 70-150 clicks depending on armor type. if you have an awakener orb you can slam it with t1 aura effect and it will be a good item. inpulsa also works as the other anon said.

its pretty easy to get a nice crusader chest base in 3.26. you can bully elder or shaper for their exalted orb which has a much higher drop rate than conqueror exalts. pick up a random sacred chainmail or necrotic (whichever you want to use) and recomb it with an ilvl 86 chest to boost it to 86. you can get ilvl 86 chests from shipping or faustus or gwennen, it might even give you the right one. and then you just slam the shaper or elder exalt on it and you can swap it

the league mechanic is basically a bunch of loot goblins spawn from a truck and you have to run after them
when you kill the goblins dozens of enemies spawn and you will end up in a complete clusterfuck dodging 100+ projectiles while chasing down goblins, its kind of like Legion where clearspeed is king. overall pretty fun, just dont pick a slow build.

I shamelessly run white non-alch T16 with a mirror tier gear character and still make 30/d an hour. :)

Ubers shouldn't really be attempted unless you're doing tens of millions of pob deeps.
Easiest ubers are shaper, elder, cortex, and eater, but elder can brick very hard if you have low damage.
40/40 is very attainable this league.

If you can do ubers then 250 affixes of invitations should be trivial for Strenuous. I'd also fight catarina 4 times for Formidable because it's fast and you can recover money quickly if you get a veiled exalt.

The trick to getting recollections and magnitudes done fast is to just blitz maps fast with some sort of rush strat like silo DP. I combined it with betrayal and settlers+niko.

The map is incredibly linear so you can't miss mobs for Dp.
The boss has two lengthy invulnerability phases so you can't accidentally kill it and inadvertently have maven witness the map.
If she witnesses silo boss renkarr the kiln keeper, you need to run more other maps to clear the invitation which bricks the strat temporarily.
And the 10 boss atlas invitation is a huge waste of time and never drops anything good.

Let it be known that if it were up to an average PoE1 player, the game would involve zero negative (for player) effects, no debuffs, no detrimental effects, no trade-offs to be made, no decisions to be made, items would have one mod only (rolls either "good" or "bad"), gameplay would essentially be "click to start a cutscene of rapidly changing bright colours on the screen" (of course, no player interaction would be required during the viewing), at end of which a little table (nothing too complicated or mentally demanding) would show up, listing how many [BIG IMPORTANT CURRENCY ITEM]s were assigned to the player characters stash (they automatically would transfer there, no need to manually move them). A single click of a button would teleport the player character instantly to either a boss fight of their choosing or to a map-style content, where cutscene viewing would again take place, followed by the bing-bing-wahoo deposit screen, ad infinitum. League updates, sometimes, would consist of adding a NEW button to the boss/map content selector, which would remain unclicked for days after league launch, as PoE1 average players have no inherent curiosity nor drive towards experimentation. The second-button clicker statistical outliers would be mocked and ridiculed, as obviously doing so would impair the bing-bing-wahoo collecting. Then, in the second week, one of the Thought Leaders would start preaching the validity of the Second Button and the entire playerbase would abandon the original boss/map button clicking for the newly added one. Every league the same scenario would play out, in the same fashion. This is not only what average PoE1 player wants, this is what already is in place, up to a certain point.
