Now that everyone woke up, what are people's thoughts on Purple Tear being a 3 Status ID (Rupture, Tremor, Bleed) each status tied to a different moveset that she switches between via her Resonance passive? (no defensive stance, swapping stances removes one negative status effect on her instead)

I could interchange them but I'd put Don above him because Sinking team right now is just pretty solid with no one really outpacing the rest (outside of Wild Hunt and now Knight of Despair).
Yi Sang got nice damage and good sinking but that's about it isn't it? He doesn't really put himself apart from the rest or do anything crazy enough to go over Don.
Don got real strong damage bursts and can chain it up as long as she's fed charge by the team and can do AOE + has an EGO made for her to go with it.
I think that gives her the slight edge over him.

Also sinking is such in a good spot that at this point I sometimes unironically consider just bringing Spicebush back on the team instead of Solemn Lament.
Butterflies doing some gloom damage is nice but deluge is just better right now. Plus sinking has a critical lack of gluttony.

I have commented similarly on a post but still want to hear ppl opinions on this . Personally, I don't like this setting precedence for ID needing their specific EGO to complete their kit, while before this, an ID is a standalone and EGO is a cool thing you can have, it just reeks of those gachas where even if you manage to pull the character they sucks without their unique weapon. Imagine if back then PM released Dawnclair specific EGO to fix him instead of just buffing him in a patch like they did. Thoughts?

I've been playing with QoH don and KoD rodion and i understand why some anons(not accounting for bait shitposting and shit flinging) say that QoH don is worse, being mediocre or just generally average/good when compared to rodion and Walpurgisnacht IDs which is bad considering walpipi IDs are rare and costly and therfore NEED to be amazing on some level. with that being said i had trouble pinpointing why exactly i found don to be mediocre considering that in some of the runs she outdamged rodya and when things went perfectly(i.e max hysteria stacks max love/hate stacks etc) her nukes were nutty but now i think i get it.
QoH don is a worse version of manager don, they both can potentially get weight on their S2 but M.don does it easier, they both have a nuke in their S3 but manager don only needs to manage one stat to get it whereas QoH don needs to manage several, they both suck at applying their statues effects but M.don has an entire team to help her apply bleed AND benefits from bleed while QoH don only applies sinking/rupture to fill a quota, the only thing that QoH don has on M.don potentially is her S1 which in later turns can max roll anywhere from 15 to 17 but due to the nature of the game making every encounter end in 5~7 turns max that's not exactly beneficial. worse then all of that imo is that at her worst manager don at the very least has the unique characteristic of being a high sustaine ID that can heal herself on top of everything else which can make her come in clutch and gives her an identity, contrast that with QoH don, what does she have going for her? nothing imo, even her +/- sanity mechanic is obsolete since they both operate the same, rodya at least can switch between a tank and a damage dealer but don's negative sanity skills don't attack with Wight frequently enough for it to be interesting or unique.
all in all I'm severally disappointed and saddened desu, wish she was better/interesting
