I think duos will be fun for a bit to see how different the dynamic is but trios is still going to be more fun. It depends a bit how generous they are with wending graces but duo would potentially be the hardest mode because potential mistakes at underlevel means you lose 50% of your output vs higher hp bars and have the pressure to res with the boss definitely targeting you (unless you are revenant).

Really never appreciated how good a combo of strike damage, the flaming strike fire buff, flame grant me strength, and bleed in combo melts most bosses. My fire cleric playthough has been going butter smooth.

Found that out on my last playthough a while back using a Great Club (was doing a cave man RP thing). Was able to stun bosses so much it straight up trivialized large parts of the game.
Just now learning that just regular hammer class weapons are almost as good at stunning bosses, without the drawback of really slow great hammer r2 charge ups.
Legit, don't know why hammers dont get more love.

they have a bad dual-wield moveset but otherwise they're pretty solid. the Star Fists are one of the most popular weapons and they're basically a fist version of the Morningstar, so if you want to two hand you can use those instead (although Morningstar has better AoW options generally). you can put Flaming Strike on the Star Fists as well
