I'm the anon that originally posted about Granblue being harder, I'll explain myself.
My argument for Granblue being harder than Strive is not only my own experience, but I got multiple friends into both games and the experiences were pretty similar all around.
Strive has slightly harder controls. But they are not that harder, and honestly at an early level they might be easier than Granblue due to gatlings.
In Strive, the characters are more powerful, matchups are more lopsided, gimmicks and knowledge checks are way more potent. You can go very far without really learning how to play, just by abusing gimmicks or cheese. And the only downside, lopsided matchups, can be conveniently negated by dodging bad MUs lol. And that particularly is/was rampant, ask any HC player.
Granblue on the other hand, you have somewhat of a more even playing field. Not as many knowledge checks and usually not as powerful. Matches have a much more standardized power level. You can't evade bad MUs, you have to learn. There are many more characters.
I could go on but I got lazy
