Depends on the clan, for example, you have wraiths who are nomads that got shunned from their families and joined forces to steal, kill, rape and pillage outposts, roads and settlements throughout the badlands and beyond.
>>531805436
Yep, thanks. Was just curious what hair anon was using that made the game choose that hairstyle under the headdress. I've seen it pick different haircuts when wearing it for 2 different modded hairstyles.

Single funniest moment of my first playthrough was sitting there at the bar. Panam takes that huge swig trying to be cool and I look over at the bartender and he looks me dead in the face with this shit-eating 'I know man, I know' smile. Fell out of my fucking chair

Man fuck the FIA. Johnny is such a bro, even if he is a dickhead but he grew on me. Him asking me to not go through with removing him utilizing the FIA should be an end option. I have no choice but to go through with this don't I? But in order to end this playthrough I have to contact Reed; It's just that my gut is telling me I'm about to get fucked in the ass harder than a Wattson whore.

even if you've updated all mods still need to delete and rebuild cache by following picrel in many cases. mod settings still isn't updated.
>>531817061
Have done both, thanks. I have Mod Settings but people are apparently able to run the game and it's just non-functional. I'm getting a Codeware error and the Red4EXT logs aren't real helpful as they seem to indicate all plugins are loading. I deleted Photomode EX before trying to boot the game so that wasn't the culprit. Oh well, will keep investigating. This happened last time Codeware updated and running the older version solved the issue, but not this time.
>>531817061 >Verify game in your store
for me this means downloading AR-81's portable pre-installed 2.3 torrent from csrinru and only selecting the cache folder, among other things

you're worse than your average NPC even they can have some augs you can't have any you're like subhuman at that point any random scrub could rob you, a light cyber-breeze could kill you
How come majority of Cyberpunk players are agp porn addicts who wish they were their female V and come to /vg/ to avatarfag as her so others associate said female V with the poster?
Is pretending you're a woman in CP2077 the closest you can get to being a real life thot?
>>531818209
do people just have fully artificial faces in cyberpunk
like theres no way to just have an artificial jaw without also some upper skull stuff, frontal lobe, maxilla, cheekbones, temporal bone, etc
unsettling to consider how much of peoples faces can be fake, they may as well just be brains floating in a metal case and everything is auxillary
>>531820898
Yeah I actually hate thinking about it. Seeing that joytoy with her entire lower jaw off, and that one ad, really fucked the game up for me. Like I image Judy and V brushing their teeth in the morning but they both have half their faces off and are using that ad shit. Kills the romance. That's the dystopia I guess but I just don't fucking think about it.
>>531822223
the missing jaw/metal cranium shit doesn't bother me btw, beyond the boilerplate brain in a jar existentialism I've been familiar enough with since ghost in the shell (1995)
>>531820898 >unsettling to consider how much of peoples faces can be fake, they may as well just be brains floating in a metal case
adam smasher is like 96% borg he's a brain in a metal case, this is where the transhumanist ship of theseus shit comes in
I mean, couldn't he already be an entirely artificial construct, who's to say otherwise except some arasaka doctor. have you ever seen your own brain?
For me its the fact that while I still love Jackie Welles, he probably did very much jump into a gig well beyond his or Vs capabilities. That resulted in getting him killed, other deaths and ruining Vs life.
Not even talking about how Dex was not as good as Jackie thought, Just the idea he thought that taking from one of the most powerful individuals in the entire world.
>>531824057
That's good. That's like a 40-degree day. Ain't nobody got nothing to say about a 40-degree day. Fifty. Bring a smile to your face. Sixty, shit, chooms is damn near netrunning on that motherfucker. Go down to 20, gonks get their bitch on. Get their cyberwear broke. But forty? Nobody give a fuck about 40. Nobody remember 40, and y'all gonks is giving me way too many 40-degree gigs! What the fuck!?
>>531824031 >he probably did very much jump into a gig well beyond his or Vs capabilities
You don't become a legend by taking small gigs, Jackie wanted to be a bigshot at the afterlife and remembered forever like Johnny and Rogue.
>>531825612
The heist was going flawlessly until Saburo showed up out of nowhere, if that doesn't happen Jackie and V stroll out of the hotel with the case and get paid.
>>531825926
Until they both get iced by Dex with Bug's tacit endorsement as she casually fucks off with her riches (she was always going to betray you).
>>531825926
No offense to the writing team. Yet that was just some completely bullshit unrealistic plot points. I mean even the fact V was able to escape as easily as they did was unrealistic. Saburo Arasaka dies and they just let you drive off in an A.I cab? Realistically wouldn't Adam Smasher have just torn apart your escape vehicle and killed you?
>>531827820
I kinda got the impression that he knew you were there and didn't care, and during the getaway really just couldn't be assed to chase you down. He probably assumed he'd be sent to kill you later, or in his later years just assumes more of a defensive role - he's there to defend the Arasaka from a comitted attack, not chase after shitters for a boss he's not particularly committed to.
That was my read, anyway
>>531827820 >No offense to the writing team.
Fuck that. They did an awful fucking job with some rich source material.
The existence of Delamain alone is fucking retarded. Question 1: Why in a world of flying cars does the premier "dial-a-getaway-driver" service use fucking GROUND CARS? Oh that's right, because CDPR are fucking hacks and they wanted another excuse to rail-road you.
>>531823895
I've always kind of wondered about that. Not Kerry, but Henry doesn't really seem like someone who would have access to the best age slowing or concealing tech

>>531842814
Being able to just unload and swap weapons is kind of a fun gimmick. If you use smart weapons it's even more of a ridiculous concept because you end up with someone who's just emptying out his guns without even really properly aiming and it still kills everything effectively.
If I had to pick a type gun I'd probably do revolvers though. I just think they're neat.
I hope in the sequel you have a crew that are all companions and go on more big heists that require multiple people. Rogue says that because the Konpeki heist went to shit that no one wanted to have V in a crew and that's why he had to be a lone wolf the whole game.
>>531869495
I wouldn't call that a sandbox, rather an open world packed with alot of content, 99% of it is unrepeatable though and there are no systems in the game designed to give you goals to work towards that could be different depending on your choices, all of the choices in the game are built around the main narrative and even then it's fairly linear.
A sandbox version of the game would let you join factions and work against the ones you didn't join to build rep/faction strength to unlock unique content with that faction for example, or let you create your own narrative to work towards and roleplay, say you wanted to build a drug empire, or to work your way up the ncpd ranks, or open a business in night city etc, or even just other little sandbox features like survival/needs and immersive interactions built around those needs
What I'm getting at is a sandbox game is built around it's systems and letting players fuck around with them choosing their own path in the world, whereas cyberpunk is a linear story driven game where there is set content and a rough path laid out for you to complete all of it, and then that's it, you either put it down or start a new game (or play photo mode minigame). It's fine that cyberpunk is linear story driven because it does an excellent job at doing it, and it's what CDPR has a wealth of experience in, it just feels like there is so much potential in night city with it's incredible atmosphere and scope to be a real sandbox, I wish they take it more in that direction and allow the main quest to be an introduction to the city rather than the be all and end all of it
>>531871289 >What I'm getting at is a sandbox game is built around it's systems and letting players fuck around with them
I hope the next game yoinks the ability to call in cops/rival gang members to fight each other from watch dogs 2, stuff like that and letting groups hostile to each other organically cross paths in the world would make it feel more alive.
>>531873175
yeah I've noticed a bunch of bugs, button presses not inputting, photomode freaking out when you take a pic, optic scans picking up vehicles through walls, the ripperdoc in the stacks in dogtown will still block the door opening with his menu prompt
that sounds like live service game, grinding out faction standing.
GTA 4 used to be called a Sandbox game, Cyberpunk is close to that but with a lot more missions. the repeatable stuff in gta, darts, bowling, drinking was always super boring nonsense. i suppose the definition drifted.
You want something close to gtao, Cyberpunk Online.
>>531874190 >the repeatable stuff in gta, darts, bowling, drinking was always super boring nonsense
Pool in San Andreas and Poker/Liars dice in RDR were peak entertainment.
>>531874190
I don't know what you mean, those side activities were pretty fun on top of being able to hangout with friends, associates and love interests who had preferences, you even had arcade games.
>>531874190
Nothing in what I described is live service bro, nor did I mention online. is GTA San Andreas a live service game? Is mount and blade warband live service? X3? Fallout 4?
You seem to not understand or are being obtuse about what is a sandbox Vs linear game, GTA4 was never considered a sandbox, it was a story driven open world with some sandbox elements but people complained a lot that alot of the sandbox mechanics from SA were removed from the sequel
Sandbox is a design choice to be open ended with player driven goals, linear games have a set and finite amount of content, the fact that it's open world just gives you the freedom of choosing which order to do it in, but none of the content is dynamic it's all on rails.
The main point being I want to be a self determined character in night city and set my own goals vs being a predetermined character with a defined start and end.
Played for about 50 hours after release but stopped as my PC was too shitty back then. Now with better hardware I want to "replay" and actually finish it. Should I get Phantom Liberty as well?
>>531875752 >is GTA San Andreas a live service game?
that was before it became a business model. If they did gta gang activity stuff it would be tied to a battle pass.
>You seem to not understand
i understand, timed advanced and more stuff got pinned to what used to be called a sandbox game. https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Sandbox

Will do. I was mostly just curious about the sliders from an academic standpoint, but since I'm gonna have to load the entire .preset to see them...
Funny that the mod is so old that it has Save Editor as a req and doesn't even mention ACU
>>531878607
Delete all the old reqs and r6, move all the modded folders (mod, mods, red4ext, etc.) out of the root folder, verify game files, download new cores, and drag all your folders back into root. That's been the be-all way to fix core-related bugs I've seen.
>>531880347
Yep, verified files, cleared cache. Even tried bisecting mods last night after taking out Photomode EX and Audioware, but the syntax error crash showed up after hiding every potential folder. >>531880712

>>531877101 >If they did gta gang activity stuff it would be tied to a battle pass

>timed advanced and more stuff got pinned to what used to be called a sandbox game
I'm not talking about the sandbox elements of GTA I'm talking about the fundamental design differences between sandbox and linear
>that would be a completely different game.
Have you forgotten the beginning of the reply chain already lol
>>531884368
That's a real shame, maybe cyberCAT or one of those old save editors can read the file and give you the slider, but you can probably recreate it just by looking at the pics, all you really need is the hair and makeup.
>>531885034
i was more interested in what kind of sand box you wanted and what you meant by sandbox. there seems to be few different kinds of sandbox. some people want an immersive sim (nonlinear life activities), i think nonlinear gameplay, you want nonlinear story.
is there a nonlinear story game that would be similar to what you want?
ive played witcher 2, 3, and cyberpunk and they are an evolution of what came before, but their main stories are still linear despite the world's content being nonlinear. while cyberpunk 2 would be a different game, a nonlinear story would be a departure from their existing style. Although, Pawel is now in charge and he loves having multiple endings in missions that become important later. And cdpr does want to add some kind of online component.
>>531810073

They just get in when you do if there're enough sits for them. Despite having 4 visible sits that car only has 1 available for them so 2 of them are photomode NPC's .

The fact you can just use your built in guns and blow every other competitor up with no consequences is so funny. Same with just turning everyone's engines off as a netrunner. I don't think they even turn back on most of the time, might be a rendering distance thing.
>>531891628 >Did you see one of the mititech goons give up and try to run away?
Kek yes, he knew he was in over his head. Nice shot, btw, making that suspension work! Cool detail that body lean is modeled in. Currently working through bisecting my mod folder to see what's causing timeouts when loading. Progress is being made, though!
>>531888787
Turns out they're on the Docs tab. It looks empty so I almost didn't check it.
Some good options; eyes 11, nose 5. Never used jaw 16 before.
>>531891460
No I want imsim + nonlinear gameplay + non linear story
My dream is to have a total sandbox like mountain blade but that's never going to happen
My wish is to just lean abit more into sandbox and include more imsim stuff and on top of the classic cdpr narrative driven gaming, at least have some game mechanics and goals that aren't simply "do mission, get eddies and/or unique items", like having a faction system, procgen missions that let you larp as a hitman/techie/smuggler/netrunner/corpo whatever, have a reputation system that affords you access to unique areas, which feels like they wanted to include but never got there with the street cred and fashion systems.
>>531894662
And to achieve this the narrative would need to shift to be more open ended and give you a reason to exist in the world other than following the storyline, it's all well and good being able to ignore the MQ and larp around but all the roleplaying opportunities in the game right now are mostly in your imagination, the only mod that even brings a little imsim is dark future, there's a reason it's so well received despite being fairly simple
>>531893365

Change her back, change her back!! Honestly, she look pretty cute.
with regard to manually positioning torso/head/eyes I've noticed that spinning your V 180 in photo mode can lead to eyes looking toward an extreme corner, ie what you were looking at before starting photo mode. if the left-right slider for eyes doesn't seem to do anything it's possibly due to large rotation of the character model in photo mode.
alternatively, this could be utilized for comedic shot like extreme side-eye or eye-rolling at gonks.
>>531895185 >I got inspired by the one you did with Joody.
Hey thanks a lot, that's really flattering to hear! Agree the 911 cab is pretty cool both looks and performance wise. >Timeouts? Did you update to 2.3? That sounds annoying. Best of luck, choom!
Thanks. Yeah, I started GoW Ragnorak yesterday while waiting for mods to update, and not sure how to turn off game updates on Steam. After bisecting though, it turns out a cleaned-up photomode interface that I had forgotten about (https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/18933) was the culprit. Good to go now! >>531897383
11 is one set of eyes I've never used since I started keeping track. Jaw 16 and nose 5 have made appearances though kek.
>>531894662
i hope cdpr has a few people snooping around these parts cause i'd love to expand upon their existing lore system, which could also open narrative branches.
in witcher 3 they expanded their worlds and placed micro stories all over, that could be summarized down to people were the real monsters.
cyberpunk repeated the process but connected many of the little missions and their stories to loosely highlight the lives of citizens, gang networks, and their little territorial or internal squabbles.
but it could be expanded, where ncpd missions also roll out like gigs do so you can see the shift in power as you move pieces around. to create an infrastructure for each gang and corporation that exists in the background, and each mission is playing with their resources, funding, man power, regional control, alliances, leadership, intelligence. Could have it influence how gigs emerge, or which version of a gig.
An example. In watson there are 2 maelstrom missions where they are looking for BD gear for Gottfrid and his son
there are also a 1 or 2 in Japantown of Tygers stealing gear for their BD operation.
And then there is Hal Cantos, known for cracking bd hardware, who is currently debugging a spiked killer BD (likly scav in origin)
And Nero that sells BDs for both
Left alone both BD operations are creatively competitive, but not violent. Scavs work with Tyers to kidnap people for their high art torture bds
for scavs its just a fun way to kill people before scraping them for parts.
but lets say you stop one gang from acquiring BD gear. do they start to steal resource from others regions. lets say you get your hands on the spiked Bd from Hal, could you leave Gottfrid alive and spike all of their BDs while they are asleep to kill their clients and get Gottfrid killed as a result, causing Maelstrom to suspect scav involvement. Spike Nero's stock, kill everyone's clients. Destroy Jae Hyun's kidnapping network and they have to pick locals
>>531901832
could create repeating quests based on how you finished it last. destroy the kidnapping network so the kidnap locals, get a new Gottfried style mission. with 5 separate locations that can host the mission type. Destroy a Scav BD operation/chopshop and now you can sell dead bodies to sketchy rippers for more money. Increased prices inspiring new Scav operations to pop up and prices to lower. A new gig begins
>The epilogue of Phantom Liberty
Holy fuck tell me I can find those two thugs. I'm going to murder them. Reload. Murder. Reload. Murder. I'm going to go cyberpscho!!
>>531896495
Thanks a lot, there's a couple of this to figure out but they are taking shape, literally.

<3 That was such a good shot, you could say it is one of my favorites. >I started GoW Ragnorak yesterday
Kek, finally! after so long. I've never played it, what do you think of it so far? I haven't opened steam in ages but I remember you just go into settings and make it only updates when you launch the game that leaves the update in limbo because you can just open the game through the .exe. Sweet glad you found it so fast, it's always some dependant mod that breaks.
>>531901832
Yeah you're describing the world building and atmosphere which CDPR managed to reach masterpiece levels in cyberpunk, which is why I feel there is so much potential in night city, it's honestly an incredible piece of engineering, I just want there to be game systems to allow me to fully immerse myself in it in a free form way, as opposed to the guided narrative that is given to you in the game >>531902242
To expand on your idea imagine if they had the balls to actually let you be a scav and kidnap people, chop them up and earn eddies that way, sprinkle in some unique hand crafted missions as you gain scav ranks and whatnot.
Same goes for joining any of the gangs, be maelstrom and have your character become a fully borged psychopath, use totentanz as a base for gang management, or Lizzie's as a mox enforcer and do a mix of unique and procgen missions to protect de whores and clash with tygers and stuff.
>>531905882 >the world building and atmosphere which CDPR managed to reach masterpiece levels in cyberpunk
Why has the US fractured in cyberpunk? It's not relayed well. Maybe if I read every data shard, but that's not diagetic.
Hooray for a running game. Controlling the time and weather from the Photomode menu is pretty cool. Will look for the new car quests later this weekend.

Really some high praise; thanks a lot! >Kek, finally! after so long. I've never played it, what do you think of it so far?
Ha too true; I've only had it for almost 7 months now. Not very far in at all, but wasn't really feeling it yesterday. The camera is claustrophobic, so far it's been super on rails, and Kratos isn't very mobile (e.g., can't even jump). I liked the first one, though, and was probably in a bad mood yesterday since CP77 was broken, so will try to go back to GoW with an open mind today now that Cyberpunk runs again. Thanks for the tip on Steam, will look into that. You should open Steam every once in a while, though... >>531907369
Wars. There are shards that go into it in the game, but that lore was all pre-established from the tabletop games.
>>531908063 >>531908069
Again, the game doesn't go into it much at all beyond just mentioning some past war. Witcher 3 and it's expansions definitely have stronger storytelling/worldbuilding than cyberpunk.

When it comes to a multimedia franchise with such a wide scope of products there is some expectation that you have to read watch or play some of the other stuff to really get into the details of the wider lore, cyberpunk 2077 does a masterful job at presenting the immediate world and atmosphere of night city to the player
Witcher is a different beast because it's an adaptation of a book series by a single author with a running plotline
>>531905882
the biggest hurtle would be scope creep. i must have gotten a few people annoyed a few threads ago about this topic for acknowledging there is a financial and man power reality/limitation that would cause such a game to not exist or turn into Star Citizen stuck in infinite development. The game would almost certainly have to handed off to modders to bolt systems on and balance. would likely become a GTA style RP server... inadvertently becoming a live service game of another sort. Although with ai getting better, its not entirely out of the picture that an ai could write and do voice over for infinitely generated missions.
but tacking on a few loops onto existing mission structures would be a nice step forward.
>>531909550 >When it comes to a multimedia franchise with such a wide scope of products there is some expectation that you have to read watch or play some of the other stuff to really get into the details of the wider lore, cyberpunk 2077 does a masterful job at presenting the immediate world and atmosphere of night city to the player
Agreed.
>>531909687
Which is why I don't blame CDPR for cutting down on the scope of 77, but now that they have this amazing city already built and really solid game mechanics built, it is feasible to get something closer to the original vision with the second game as per original post of reply chain
It worries me though that they are switching engines and creating a new city instead of just going balls deep and expanding/fleshing out what we have already, though perhaps there are technical or developer limitations that are impossible to know from the outside
Got back into the game with the newest update. Every spare minute I'm watching lore videos. I forgot how much the net was made out to almost be a human-made hell full of demons and spirits. Holy fuck this lore is incredible. So many cool ideas.
>>531909550
Witcher 3 gives you a chance to speak with ambassador var attre regarding the northern war. I get that the war is a much bigger focus in witcher 3 (and even moreso in 2, 3 dumbed it down big time) but cyberpunk could've interwoven it into the plot easily. Phantom liberty especially, just giving you the option to talk with the prez before she's evacuates fixes this.
>>531904067 >spoiler
Just a slight overall reduction in size would look good imo. A little shorter, maybe 25% off of the girth. Only of the nipples of the bonus pair specifically. The main test looks perfect imo
im ngl the concept of weapon augmentations just isnt great in the first place, its basically swordshit magic with a thin veneer of cyberpunk coating, a cheap and quick panacea for an actual decent weapon modding system.
>>531912918
You mean get all achievements or do all the possible content in one playthrough? I've done the latter but still have like 9 achievements to get.
>>531916730 >actual decent weapon modding system.
Only like 1% of the playerbase even knows anything about guns and would get anything from a simulation-type design. Most people want Borderlands garbage, which is closer to what you get when you can make your AR have a 90-round magazine of fire bullets.

There's a mod that can make Ping mark them for you, there's also the Kiroshis that highlight them during scanning. Otherwise I don't kniw if anything

there are cyberdecks which will highlight the plug in spots. as far as loot goes, it seems to be automatically detected once you look at it without scanning.
>>531920334
ping tags enemies mod is one of the necessities for a netrunner. occasionally there's an enemy on a different level or network who won't be automatically marked, but it sure beats the tedium of marking a dozen targets which your ping has already detected. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/9950

If you want to be less of a dick, you can just hack all the other cars to stop at the start of the race and enjoy a leisurely drive (or blow them up). I think if you get far enough away they don't even try to catch up
>>531925191
Yeah, that's what I just said.
I did every race except the last one (which I will win in accordance with the rules and in which I will not be distracted by some psycho tranny vandetta) just because apparantely you need to if you want to start the mordred quest. Still didn't trigger though.
>>531926783
It's starting to peeve me off. I did all the associated quests, waited what would probably amount to mods (also did it in the badlands because someone said it'd trigger it, but it didnt) and still nothing. How do you delay a patch and still leave it so buggy?
fun little control edit for MnK driving/biking enjoyers
>r6/config/inputUserMappings.xml >search for "Acceleration_Axis" >add this line in the block
>so it looks like this
>then remap the bike shift weight forward to something else ingame
lets you use shift to somewhat hold speed, or shift + W to accelerate at a slower pace

Super slick entrance into the garage! Love that V's so smol that people might think that's one of the new autodrive cars except for Red's ponytail kek.I also like the car stealing gigs except the timed ones where enemies show up--F9. >Do tell if you can do anything cool with the new photomode features
Will do once I poke around with it a bit. >have you fought any bosses yet?
Just one, and made it to a second. Have to get used to the camera again, and Kratos can only attack what the camera's looking directly at as well, despite dudes running all around you. >I'm hooked with cyberpunk!

There is no way I'm posting my fan fiction here, and I'm pretty sure that's against the rules (self-advertising). But here is one of the V's I use in my fanfic... she's an aging fixer with a softspot for the MC.
>>531934004
Yes, I think this is the only "older" V I've seen in these threads. Unfortunately, the anon who made her didn't upload any pics of her with clothes on to my knowledge.
>>531933890 >teehee i'm gonna mention stuff unprompted and then refuse to actually talk about it when people show interest
We have 13 year old girls in here now?
And the charismatic leader of MCs crew. An edgerunner with an insane amount of luck and some would say a knack for knowing when a gig is going to go tits up.
Iβm probably in the minority here when I say this but if these updates are just gonna be minuscule cosmetic and content additions then Iβd rather them just stop and focus on the main game instead. Or at least compile them all into one big update every year or half year until Cyberpunk 2.

These are outsourced, they're not taking any devs away from Witcher 4 (or Orion but I'm not sure CDPR makes multiple games at once)
What is this doing here? >>531932515
Thank you! It all went super smooth despite getting chanced for a good chunk of the job. She's not smol she's ducking for cover, there're bullets flying! Kek. I got one of those sometimes it depends on which garage you get which is random, I got confused somewhere in Arrojo and didn't make it, I'm not sure if you get anything extra tho. >Kratos can only attack what the camera's looking directly at as well
That sounds annoying, I thought that was only for walking segments, not for combat. >Definitely know this feel.
I keep getting sidetracked too so much to do, almost level 60 and just realized you can unlock knife finishers!!
P.S. I found your gf's gooner van in Arrojo, maybe it was stolen or maybe she's up to no good.
>>531943703 >She's not smol she's ducking for cover, there're bullets flying!
Ah of course! Good job keeping those eyes on the road then. Knife finishers are among my favorites. The way enemies stick their tongues out during the throat slash--can't get enough. >maybe it was stolen or maybe she's up to no good
Hey you gotta shoot on location sometimes to get the best BD feels. >>531947949
Kek that image confused me for a while--thought SadV had her arm on Johnny's right leg and couldn't figure out what Johnny's right warm was resting on. Also, don't give me that look Johnny.
So chooms, this semi-mechanical noise happens all over NC. What is it? The text noise appears overtop of it a bit, but I'm sure we've all heard the noise I'm talking about. https://litter.catbox.moe/vaze027b628vynit.webm
>>531952093
It happens with all kinds of stuff. I think it's a general (un)locking sound. Seem to hear it around summoned vehicles and when approaching proximity-unlocked doors and shutters, especially when entering/exiting apartments.
>>531948562
Kek, that's where having sometime returning fire comes in handy. They knife tree gives them a poison effect it seem pretty busted. I can see the potential for knife(katana) finisher during combat. That one is really bloody but my favorite is the one where you slice one leg and stab them in the neck, brutal. >you gotta shoot on location sometimes
With you O-o She's a real deviant.
>>531956269
Kek.
You know, I've never killed him in that gig. I wonder how it changes things. Maiko doesn't get to set him up for you. Better for V and Judy, less characterizion for Maiko... I'll have to do that one day
>>531956919
It was an accident he slipped, very tragic. You can get him to spill the beans and tell you what you need to know, but now that you mention it I don't know what happens if you "let him live".
>>531953694
If you want increased difficulty, Enemies of Night City, Hardcore22, and Guns Redone is a decent combo. V still eventually grows incredibly strong, but these mods ensure that you can essentially always be killed by one hit by certain enemies (e.g., snipers, close shotguns, grenade launchers). With a low-level V with little health, stamina, RAM, or movement options (no dashing, etc., unlocked) I found it pretty tough to overcome multiple gangoons at a time who were equipped with optic camo, sandevistans, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSuuZAbpkTc >>531955278
Ah yes it's been a while and I forgot about the poison effect. I usually ran a neurotoxin knife anyway because poison was so useful. The leg slash/neck stab is another work of art. Kek you've never let Woodman live in that gig and like >>531956919 I've also never killed him until later. >She's a real deviant.
Kek she's an artiste!
>>531957767 >now that you mention it I don't know what happens if you "let him live".
Kek.
It's kinda lame. Maiko sets him up for you to kill him at Judy's request, which is cool for Maikoxs characterization, but Judyxs disilusioned by it and just complains, even though it was V that pulled the trigger. So you kind of feel left holding the bag.
Cool moments agter though
>>531962660
Nah I get that. I'm kinda channeling anti-Judy anons here. Judy asks V to kill Woodman, V is a merc, but not an assassin, and shows throughout the game that she doesn't really like killing. So then you do it and Judy's basically like 'well that sucked, let's go', but it's V that's got more blood on her hands. It's lonely, in a way. >>531962791
True, I've never actually let Woodman make it to drawing his gun, so Judy's never actually had to participate. If she participates, that makes her reaction make even more sense, yeah >great shot
Thank you choom, right back at you

That can't be denied, Maiko wouldnβt be where she is without her. That said she's into freaky shit, I still remember the XBD. better watch out.. >>531962158

>>532019337 >awfully similar to the effect Judy's van has if you get too close

Gesundheit.
>>532021453
Lmao. >>532021670
Frag nades just work, poison works best on low tier gangoons, recon are extremely handy since they are a 3 in 1 gadget for a not runner character. But yeah, it's funny when they die in their own vomit.

>>532029871

Anything that shows lots of skin looks good on her. The onion cut is fine but I went for Evelyn's hair instead since it's a bit more stylized and reminds me of Motoko Kusanagi.
I don't know how you make night pics look so good...
>>532034121
Oh nice, tac fit evolving. Nice contrast between the two them.
I usually like longer bangs more but that looks good too. I was also thinking about adding a bikini outfit or two of some kind but I can do that too when I get my hands on the npv some day
thanks, must be the careful adjustments of PM lights or my settings kek
>>532038687
Thank you, I thought it would look nice next to Red's the alternative tact suit.
Kek, not oniony enough? I would have liked to add that super lewd pony tail but ccxl hair is nightmarishly annoying to rebuild. At first that was one of the fits I wanted to add to all of mine but I quickly realized that it wasn't worth the effort since it's not very versatile outside very specific scenarios.
Alright then, keep your secret..
>>532029119 >do tell what you get
Man, starting to feel a bit sorry for Yorinobu. V stole his Relic, his shirt, his pants, his gun, his iguana egg, and now his car. He's gonna start to think you have it out for him or something. Also, looking forward to Photomode EX again; 0.05-value movement steps are too big.
>>532041915 >V stole his Relic
Ironic because he stole it first, kek. And he stole you ticket into the major leagues by throwing a tantrum at the worst possible time, I think it's fair. >Car
That car looks pretty sick, is that a modified caliburn or the new yaiba car? the front looks super aggressive, I take it is weaponized? >0.05-value movement
You don't use AMM to move V around PM or wait that one hasn't be update yet?
>>532042587 >I think it's fair.
Well when you put it that way... It is a weaponized Caliburn with some neat features lore-wise that V can't use. >You don't use AMM to move V around PM
Not since PM-EX enabled 0.01-value movement ticks and all-axis rotations. It was just easier using the standard PM menu versus opening AMM and being lazy is fun.
>>532045536
Are the guns any good, what kind of features? >versus opening AMM and being lazy is fun.
Kek, but AMM lets you save a coordinates and use them across all 4 puppets, you lazybones!
>>532040841
Yeah they look great together with those fits.
I just think the longer bangs are cuter kek. Also right, the CCXL stuff is too tricky, too bad all the cool newer hairstyles are like that...
kek idk, I spend a significant amount of time on moving around the pm lights, adjusting their hue and saturation to find the light that I like. Usually using at least two different colors at least. Tho as a result my shots always look very unnatural, studio shots kinda. raytracing probably helps too...
>>532046565 >Are the guns any good, what kind of features?
Haven't shot anything yet so dunno on that. According to the engineers' computer, Yori liked to conduct biz in the car so it has spots to hold drinks and guns. The CrysdtalDome internal displays can show Japanese landscapes because Yori found that relaxing, and a standard compartment for "intimacy equipment" was installed between the seats. Apparently although Rayfield could find no data on Yori's sexual behavior, his psych profile indicated there was a 68% chance he preferred a submissive role. >AMM lets you save a coordinates and use them across all 4 puppets
True, but like the anon said last night I'm just fumbling around and turning knobs kek.
>>532046572
Oh, you haven't best ones yet :3, you lustful Borg
Reminds me a lot of songbirds hair but a lot shorter, I kinda see why you used Nina's hair for the longest time so versatile. Not even get me started, so many parts go into hairstyles..
I kinda figured out the 2 light sources with two different colors from the pic above, but the contrast, hue as saturation I didn't think about that, makes sense.. also dof. They look great and since most are portraits it just adds style to them, I like them specially the close up, I might the tinkering with the setting above. >>532047508
Can you really see all that inside the car? a guy like that I was positive that was going to be one of the features, but caliburn aren't spacious enough to exercise. >that last bit
Fucking kek, I think Evelyn did a bunch of that stuff for him. > turning knobs kek.
Lmao, hey whatever works, right?
>>532049372 >Can you really see all that inside the car?
Unfortunately I don't think so, that's what I was meaning about stuff V can't use. The windshield has been the standard CrystalDome for me unless I'm missing something. >>532050042
Hansen was great, and his dialogue during the fight was awesome.
>>532050375
Eh, it's fine it would have been cool for them to add that detail but I'm satisfied with know Yorinobu was submissive and that's why he cuddles with his sister during the devil ending.
>>532050781
I beat the game but I really don't feel like replaying some bits especially since it's an hour out to beat some missions. Not to mention tone save is before I created a fun build and it'll feel like ass going through it again.
>>532052221
You have to create it as an NPC. The process seems tedious enough that I've never tried, and I have eternal respect for anons who have created NPVs.
>>532053318
I have no idea what race she is without looking it up. There's also an extra degree of plausibility there because she probably spends a shit ton of time in the sun
>>532055491
I assume biosculpting or whatever the fuck they call it takes a lot more time than just slapping a Mr Stud on. Or more likely they just don't want to deal with flags for romances
>>532055850
He's pretty shady. The job was pretty shady. If it actually worked out who knows if netwatch or the VDBs wouldn't be trying to kill you instead, and that's in the scenario where he isn't in on it. >>532056136
Fixers killing their guys when they fuck up isn't exactly uncommon in the first place.
So what was Yorinubu going to do with the biochip anyway? If he wanted to destroy Arasaka, wouldn't the best option have been to just arrange for it to be stolen and end up in the hands of a powerful "neutral" faction? Anything direct would limit his ability to control Arasaka's reactions, and giving it to something like Militech would probably just result in them trying to copy it
>>532058851
I doubt they're done doing updates like this, but a slow trickle of of immersion and vanity stuff in a game this old seems kind of pointless to me unless it's actually leading to something you can play
>>532058851
Console players win the biggest with this sort of stuff, but now that I see things from both plots of grass as it were I find it pretty annoying to have all my mods break and possibly be abandoned over minute systems changes and a couple vehicles
There are still some really nice pose packs from 2.12 that never got updated, and probably never will. Feels bad. Can't imagine how it would feel if something like ENC or DF got abandoned aftwr a minute update like this
>>532059256 >Was the latest patch a total nothingburger
I just think people need to pipe down their expectations. The game's already finished. It was a surprise update. It's fine.
>>532058851
They said the major updates were done a while ago, everything from here on out will just be small shit like cars and weapons from the new anime.
Is this Tiktok meme of Adam Smasher knowing you were in the room with him and Saburo Arasaka legit or just a Tiktok theory? I do find it odd how he's looking straight at you, maybe it was just a coincidence.
>>532059037
It's fine so long as they add substance to the game like they did with 2.21, what they did with 2.3 was kinda disgusting even more so because they added stuff that we already had and without giving a beta or thinking about modders. >>532059661 >pose packs from 2.12 that never got updated
I've seen a bunch of anon use some really old pack that never got update somehow, which packs do you mean? >if something like ENC or DF got abandoned
That would have been brutal. >>532059762
They say a lot things, that doesn't mean it's true.
>>532060305
I'd say it's entirely possible if nothing else. Even the first time I played the game I thought it was strange how he looks directly at you
>>532060305
Is not a tiktok theory, the thing is when the game launched you had the ability to install mods in your kitoshi's one of those was the thread detector, a mod that would highlight enemies that spotted you or something along those lines.
>>532059862

Yeah its stupid but I didn't even like doing that shit in GTA games. My 100% files were 0 civilians kills.
>>532064665
You can get 1 star pretty easily for just tricking the AI into thinking you're attempting to run them over, but I don't think escalating it is easy to do without killing anyone.
>>532064525
That's a poor read, people who actually didn't invent a delusional fantasy about the update aren't frustrated, but here you are saying everything is the developers fault for not reading your mind and lashing out at people pointing out how that's not possible.
>>532063246
You are welcome <3
Kek, they looks so small on your V, very nice.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that detail since that's the default for modded bodies, sorry about that. Oh, I didn't edit the FPP ones since we rarely see them or are naked during gameplay so it's not an issue with load order, don't worry about that. However, I can edit them when I get some free time if you'd like that.
Thanks you, hope you enjoy them, have fun.
I'd like to play both sides and say that having any faith in any media developer in 2025 is a huge mistake, and also that if a developer asks you what kind of character customization options you want, then proceeds to break all your mods and shit for an ipdate that contains zero customization options, that's pretty lame.
>>532065662
That is a very cynical way to look at things but yeah, bottom line is they made a big deal about the patch, gave people false expectations, fucked up everyone's shit and for what? a couple of QOL changes that should have been in the previous patch, pretty lame indeed.
>>532065619

Anyone know of a fix for this weird visual artifact on the face? It's a flickering black spot that shows up only in certain lighting. Shows up in photo mode too, where it usually ruins a lot of my shots.
>>532070132

both, the clock was frozen at 12:12 am. I could advance time by sleeping but it would just stay stuck at whatever time I woke up. it persisted for a while, even through saving/loading, but just randomly fixed itself unfortunately :(

What's a good Vanilla/VTK compatible hires body to use. I was using VTK but it has issues, specifically the newer body tattoos only render as a solid pale blue on the body and it looks like mod author hasn't touched it since 2024.

Rotated the character and the camera didn't change. Noticed it was affecting the other NPC models nearby. After walking a short distance away the artifact disappears from the player and other nearby NPCs. Thinking it might be location specific bug, changing PT versions in Ultra+ didn't do anything either. Probably something out of my control.
did they enhance romance hangouts at all? they seemed kind of one-time only and you didnt even bang. judy should at least leave her underwear on your pillow
I want the ability to modify outfits in the field, away from the closet, or to otherwise have some kind of "if head slot empty, use actual head slot" function. I like to use/remove a helmet on my bike, use glasses, etc., but the current outfit system makes that tedious
>>532083809
nta either but in my experience it just introduces a lot of issues with lod pop in, bad lighting, etc. it looks good in select screenshots in curated environments and circumstances, but ultimately breaks shit and makes the game run worse and look worse

I wonder how they feel for people who never played the game before. They seem really bizarre to me you know, Judy laying her head in V's lap then opening her mouth to spit out these pre-canned lines that were taken from other parts of the game
It's the same with how you get to the end of the game now, and suddenly you keep having all these extra interactions with people that are entirely over text. I get that it would be impractical to pay the VAs to come back in to record a few extra throwaway lines just to satisfy the 1% of autists like me who play 100s of hours, but that doesn't make it any less jarring

It's sometimes jarring just because how fucking weird the language is. It feels like it's coming from someone completely different than V. Or at least the River and Panam texts are of the top of my head

It is pretty short for what you expect, but the constantly-decreasing health doesn't lend itself to long stages I guess. The devs might have eliminated or at least tempered that factor in a longer mission.
does anyone know why my game would freeze/stutter for a few seconds going from third to first person, or getting out of a car? it seems the game keeps running (audio keeps playing fine), but visually its frozen - i assume its a mod thing but i have no idea how to track it down.

Does the locker with the cowboy gear not spawn in the Sun ending anymore?
Ran through it tonight to grab Cassidy's revolver and the Aldecaldos jacket for my cowboy run and i'm a little upset I don't get my free hat anymore.
