I know there was a meme going around in the beginning about how you should pull on the same banner over and over to maximize vials, and people were saying "haha bricked account" and all that. However, now that we have a banner with only 77 cards, could that really be the solution?
Let's say you need 20k or so vials every set to update your deck, anyone think it's better to spend rupees on this banner for the foreseeable future?

Time spent healing is time not spent clearing your shit. Take advantage of a lot of your 2-3PP followers for early pings, and use Noah to build up enhanced puppet for a big 12-14 damage Orchis turn. It's probably the deck's worst match-up but you have enough time to buff puppets and with Odin we have more ways to push face damage.

There is quite literally no way for Forest to beat Haven once Aether enters the field. You would need big followers already on the board on top of the perfect hand but forest doesn't have that. It needed something like noble fairy which is just Lily but for the entire board.

So anyone else feeling like Earth Rite is kinda bad?
Everything it does feels like it needs EVO and Earth Rite cost... for fairly underwhelming effects.
The 2 cost gold needing a SEVO is sort of a joke.

There is very little payoff offered in general, it feels like most of the games I won were against do-nothing decks like ramp dragon where playing 2 cost 2/2 into 2 cost 2/2 into 3 cost 3/3 do nothings was enough.
The 8 cost chick also needs a SEVO for an effect a fucking portal gold gets on evo and the resurrection ain't shit at 8 cost where you'd expect most cards to start winning you the game on the spot.

Most of the cards are in the 4-5 cost range and even those feel underwhelming. The 6 cost guy is GREAT, but not good enough.
Despite the deck having a TON of "deal X damage to enemy follower" effects I often feel like I need more board clear options as that is simply not enough.
Most games I feel like I depend on some form of ping damage combined with the Sage spell to clear. Against Haven that isn't nearly enough.
Again, most things are not only conditional, they also need an EVO point.

The deck running 3 Odin is also a clear sign that it just doesn't have any reach or payoffs on its own.
I couldn't even experiment much, because the deck runs every dirt card there is. I tried using the 5 cost crest girl, but she is dogshit compared to Grea/Anne.
What the fuck is the deck even doing?
Just bring back the acid golem slime thing to burn for 3-6 or however much.
The current setup is horrible and depends on your opponent bricking or playing a shit deck.

Some people said in previous decks that it isn't that good against what was it, haven? But had a decent if not favored matchup against everything else? How is that?

Ward Haven warps the meta in a fucked way because instead of being good against the top tier decks it is protecting the top tier decks by going after the niche decks that are trying to beat the top tier decks. The biggest buff Rune got this expansion was Ward Haven existing.

Roach was basically the opposite where the top tier decks were beating roaches bad matchups and then roach was eating the other top tier decks.

All that Ramp needed was good 5 pp and 6 pp cards that don't need super evolves to do anything. They got it.
Fishes protect against aggro. Cheap out Ho-chan with the 6 pp spell. Play Ho-chan and draw a bunch of cards until you get double genesis dragon and OTK.
The only way you lose is you open three genesis dragons in your opening hand.

Charon package helps a lot against the aggro matchup. Pre-emptively setting up double wards on their super evo odin turn is very important.

Ironically the meta shifted from day 1 and it went from rando decks to full on blood aggro vs the rest which is a mishmash of midrange. This list has a decent chance against aggro and attempts to go slower vs midrange lists to win out by value.

The addition of odin to remove goldenrod actually helped my forest matchups as rare as they are. Forest was near unwinnable back in the day.

Next set better have Rodeo and Skullfane support. Wild that they added one amulet and it doesn't actually have last words.

It's not, it's an aggro deck, you just use turns 1-4 to drop 2 drops, contest board with edelweiss/perfumer and get 5-6 dirt stacks, play juno, evo, play norman, evo, it's hard to deal with and usually lets you go face enough to finish with odin/ice spell.
Lalanthim is only useful vs spellboost because it's slow as fuck and lets you set it up.
That said, you don't always have to stick to that plan, you can play around with different routes and you have a lot of ways to contest board so if you're getting out aggro'd you can swap to a more control playstyle and just try to heal out of their kill range while summoning golems every turn.

Ward Haven wins by playing Aether into Jeanne and buffing the board to an even more unkillable level. If the board gets cleared and you dont have a second aether you are just fucked which is why its matchups are so polarizing. Your class can either clear Aether or it cant.
