Most seasonal outfits made for or updated for 1.6 allow you to toggle characters individually with Generic Config Menu Mod. If yours doesn't, you have to delete files. You'll get yellow errors in the console but they're harmless.

You can buy iridium sprinklers off of Krobus in the sewers every Friday (his stock rotates by day of the week). They cost 10k and he has only 1 in stock each Friday, so you won't amass them quickly but it's a nice way to gradually add to your stockpile of iridium sprinklers. But that's for later, 60k will have to be sunk into seeds.

Should look at what bundles you haven't completed in the community center and plan crops based off that.

That's what fertilizer is for. Basic fertilizer will give a small boost to crop quality and it's the first type you unlock, and is easy to craft. Quality fertilizer requires fish to craft, and is the best you can do for boosting quality. Your farming skill also plays a role I think.

It's fairly easy to do the quality crops bundle if you use quality fertilizer then spam the crop you need as much as you can. Through sheer numbers you'll get it.

Fertilizer helps. You won't be able to consistently get gold quality but you will greatly improve your yield of gold quality crops. You need to farm at scale + use fertilizer to brute force the yield.

Parsnips are one of the easiest crops to spam fortunately. Very short growing time and dirt cheap seeds. Get some quality fertilizer in the soil and spam parsnips until you what you need. Save up money cause Melon seeds are expensive and you will need to spam them as well, and unlike parsnips they're not as forgiving so you really have to go hard on the numbers if you want to make sure.

It got an update for 1.6 compatibility and a bit more content, but 1.6 hurt the jas mod and its dependencies badly to the point 1.5 stardew is currently better for jas than 1.6 is. So if you're playing for jas, stick with 1.5.

With so many good mods for 1.6, no one will use the 1.56 version anymore unless there's no other choice. Also Jas mod works well in both versions. The only thing you can't use right now is NPCA mod, but even that will change soon. The Squad mod seem pretty promising and eventually the Anons here will take a look to add their own exclusive content for the girls.

I believe the 95% of the important mods got updated to 1.6 already. Other got replaced by new modders joining the fray. I might be wrong but I believe is not worth anymore to "play the 1.56 vers" because the old mods.

VPP is garbage. The skill tree system is basically nothing but soft cheats and shit you can find in other mods*, like reducing friendship decay or making shops cheaper the more friendship you have with the people running them. The professions thing is also worthless compared to WoL because while WoL changes ALL professions from the start, VPP only gives you new ones after mastery. VPP also appears to be buggy as fuck (just look at its massive changelog) and often has tiny incompabilities with all sorts of mods because it makes C# patches to a gorillion elements of the game. And finally, WoL has tons of fun changes like making hoppers actually useful by storing items as well as some really good professions, but unfortunately it doesn't allow you to disable specific professions so you're stuck with dogshit like the gimmicky slingshot one.

I usually try to have between 10 and 15 quality sprinklers by the start of spring year 2, and I fit them in as neatly as I can in 3x3 plots near enough to my house they're easy to check on. I usually decide on my layout during the winter, since sprinklers don't move and aren't destroyed between seasons it's a good way to map out where I'm going to plant in spring.

For seeds, I start with whatever I have left over from last spring. I am always sure to buy a lot of strawberry seeds and save at least 8 of them for year 2, more if I can (8 crops is what will fit around 1 quality sprinkler, so I tend to measure out seeds in multiples of 8 at this stage of the game). If you don't have strawberry that's fine. Next I buy from Pierre's, and if I still need anything for bundles I prioritize that. I like to plant a little of everything so I'll do 8 of this and 8 of that around my sprinklers, but then will usually go hard on one cash crop. For spring, that's usually Cauliflower, until I bother to pick up Rhubarb.

I prefer cash crops with long growing times because I don't have to worry about harvesting and replanting most of my field for 10+ days, which gives me more time to work on other things, like the bulletin board orders or skull caverns.

Not too difficult IMO, you have winter as an entire season you can dedicate to re-arranging. Which planner were you using? I'm pretty sure all of them note specifically that it's Quality Sprinklers that water 8 tiles. The regular sprinklers are not really worth building in large numbers, they're niche at best. I usually just stick with watering by hand until I can mass produce quality sprinklers. Usually that happens in summer.

Your big chance to change things up is the transition between seasons. But going from Spring to Summer or Summer to Fall can be hectic. If you're actively harvesting right up to the last day of the season you wont' have time to prep your farm for a layout change by moving the sprinklers, fences, and buildings in advance of the new season. Cause Day 1 of a new planting season is very busy, you have to hoe, plant, and water all your priority crops as quickly as you can so you don't have time to be fussing over layout. You have to know exactly what you're doing and have prepped it in advance, else you just use the same plots as last season without moving anything.

That's why you generally do your major reworks during the winter. Animals don't go outside in winter so you can move around barns and coops all you like without worrying about fences and grass for them to eat. There's no planting either, but you can still do mock-ups with sprinklers and tilled patches / paths to see what your fields will look like in the spring.

You might've selected "sprinkler(P)" instead of "sprinkler" in the planner. The (P) is supposed to indicate that you put a late-game upgrade on the sprinkler that increases it's range by 1, which would explain the larger area in the planner. Unfortunately the only way for you to deal with it is to place extra sprinklers to cover some of the corners and manually water anything you can't, or replace the regular sprinklers with quality sprinklers once you unlock the recipe.

Even with auto-collectors in every building you still have to go get it yourself and then manually process all of it.

I never bother with the regular sprinklers cause I dump the early copper / iron ingots into tool upgrades and then start saving for kegs and tapper buckets and quality sprinklers. I always try to get to level 80 in the mines by early summer at the latest, once I have a steady supply of gold ore I can churn out quality sprinklers, since I'll have the recipe by that point also.

I always have the quality sprinkler recipe unlocked before the end of spring because of my farming regimen in Year 1 Spring. I do plant a little bit of everything, but mainly I focus on two crops: cauliflower and parsnips. I sink most of my early money into cauliflower on day 1 so I will have a nice chunk of change after the egg hunt, which always wipes me out since I buy as many strawberry seeds as I am able. Parsnips power level the farming skill due to growing so fast, so you'll be planting and harvesting your parsnip crop 1-2 times a week. You need 5 gold quality parsnips for the community center bundle anyway, and with low quality fertilizer and farming skill you're going to need to brute force the numbers to get it. A side effect of this is you unlock a lot of valuable recipes by mid-late spring year 1, so that all you lack going into summer is access to materials.

That's why after I get to farming level 6 I shift abruptly into focusing on mining. I will do bare minimum farming, funnel money into backpack upgrades and pick upgrades for days I'm not mining, and get to level 80 by early summer.

Even Harvey talks about expanding his practice to other towns to make more money.

Bait makers are specifically used to make targeted bait, if you need more than one of a specific fish for some reason then when you catch one you can toss it in the bait maker and hopefully catch multiple. SV was just gathering dust in my library but I couldn't really get past the 1st year since I didn't like any of the girls enough to really want to pursue them romantically and the farming aspect could only entice me for so long. I'm the person who originally started the s&s discussion, so let me tell you why the mod is shit properly. You have to max out friendship with 5 different npcs to get all of the skillsets (which you also still have to level), as well as find the triggers for an event for each of them at literally every heart, sometimes even multiple per-heart, including the two separate cutscenes where you just stand in the background while Mateo (the first person you have to befriend, the guild master of le coastal adventurer's guild) and Hector (some ugly, green haired druid) just sit on the side of a bridge and talk about gender. Oh, also you have to befriend those npcs back to back, you can't start befriending one until you've fully or nearly fully befriended the previous one, and all of the interesting skillsets aren't available until later in the mod. There's also a dual wielding mechanic that looks retarded because it just plays two swing animations at once and bugs out vanilla forge enchants, a line of shields that are basically worthless until the literal last skillset and an ebin anime gun sword that your grandfather used to use.

One of Sam's early events is only available till the end of first year fall. Penny has one event that becomes unavailable if you restore community center beforehand and Clint's 6 heart event is unavailable once you see Emily's 8 heart event or marry her, but even then you can do that stuff at your leisure so one way or another that means there's technically just one actually timed event.

Watering and fishing are the fucking worst grinds imo so i sometimes turn auto water crops on and use insta catch mod.
I also stop time inside caves and mine since i don't have the patience to stay there for too long anyway.
This saves a shitload of time everyday allowing me to have a more relaxed gameplay.

By summer I have an upgraded can and can water 3 crops at once, and by midsummer I have quality sprinklers. In 1.6 the Jas Marriage Mod started using layers (her head is loaded first and the dress and ponytails are loaded separately) so not a single portrait mod will work. In theory I guess you could grab the new portrait .pngs you want and replace ALL the layer .pngs with them.

I've been using the marriage mod for her with SVE on 1.6 and the cuter seasonal portraits installed. I've only seen the vanilla forest 2 hearts event so far but will the mod events even work? She IS listed as (single) which gives me hope the mod itself works all in all but I have no clue if all the dialogue I've read so far was purely vanilla content

This means it's working as intended, yes. Just like vanilla, the mod has Jas start out pretty shy, with her gigantic amount of custom dialogue becoming more common later. Also make sure you don't have any other mods overwriting her dialogue, like Canon Friend Dialogue Expansion (in its specific case you can just disable Jas in the config).

Never use daggers. Swords are best, but heavy mallets / clubs are also usable because of the knock back.

Assuming you have standard rewards for progression through the mines, reaching floor 90 will give you a treasure chest room with Obsidian Edge, a level 6 sword, so 2 levels higher than the crystal dagger. It's better than what you have and costs you nothing, but there's better options you can get for free as well. Insect Head is a sword you earn from the monster slayer rewards. Doesn't even take that many bugs to get it, it's usually the first reward anybody gets from the list. It's also level 6, comparable with Obsidian Edge, though with lower damage (but better crits). If you don't feel like pushing to level 90 of the mines with your shitty dagger, farm bugs from level 21-29 until you earn Insect Head.

Other decent options are down to RNG. Some runs I find a bunch of Bone Swords and Neptune's Glaives (both level 5 swords) but some games I never find either.

In general the weapon's level is a good indicator of power. Crystal Dagger is a level 4 weapon, Bone Sword is level 5, as is the Templar Blade. But as you've noticed the style of weapon has a big impact, and sometimes also the stats of the weapon can make a lower level weapon easier or feel better to use than a higher level weapon. For example the Tempered Broadsword is a level 7 sword, it's inherently stronger than any other weapon you have, but it's also slow (-3 speed) and its stats are geared toward defensive fighting, while the Bone Sword is very fast (+4 speed) while still having a decent weight stat (weight affects knock back, has nothing to do with speed).

So even though the Tempered Broadsword is overall stronger due to being level 7, you might find its slow speed clunky to use compared to the level 5 bone sword. Personally I like the bone sword, it's usually my go-to weapon if I can find one, until I get the Lava Katana (level 10) or Galaxy Sword (level 13).
