How do I know this? I tried to hand him a win with Gran. No 2Us, no corner pressure. Just simple fireball game, telegraphed jumps, and combos. He still somehow managed to blow it every time through numerous dropped combos and his complete inability to anti air. How can someone be this bad this far in? He is also perfectly content not even hitting or throwing you if he has carpet up
Extremely strong fireball that is kinda slow and loses to most of the stronger fireballs in fireball wars so you don't use it the same way as a shoto
The value of the corner is unironically way lower for him than anyone else because a good chunk of his strategy, options and damaging combos work without it (it's still good to corner opponents, just not as much)

Pressure isn't my issue, my combos are fairly consistent. My issue is dealing with specific characters options or situations.

If I'm careful enough, I can deal with a Grimnir and Katalina. Lowain is a hassle of knowledge checks, but characters like Beatrix and Cagliostro flat out stop me from playing the game and Vas armor changes make approaches the worst idea, when my character is supposed to be a rushdown/shoto. It feels like the games design normal buttons just left me out when my best buttons all have downsides to counteract their benefits, unlike the top tiers whose buttons "downsides" are practically nonexistent because challenging them is impossible with my character.

You cannot demote more than two letter ranks below your highest letter ranked character. If the rest of your roster is in S, the letter every other character is bumped up to upon hitting S++, then you can demote a character from S++ down to A. It will, however, take a lot of losses as you will only lose 50 points per loss in S+ and below.

Oh, and because you can't demote until you reach A4, A5 is the lowest possible rank you can reach.
