He's a helpfull AI fellow in the pits who'll provide you information about your car, your opponents, yell at you or try to encourage you. And most importantly, he will spot for you, in case you have a car in you blind spot.

UI radar are immersion breaking and basically cheating, but this guy will tell you verbally if someone is there on your right. Download, install, select Asseto Corsa in game list, press "Start application" and it should work!

It's kind a funny. Mesh based photogrammetry fails with melting, but stays solid. Splats fail into creating holes, become fuzzy and transparent.

Standard pohotgrammetry can excel in recreating solid objects extremely well, while splats recreate grass, foliage, hairs wonderfully. Perfect use would be using them together to create the best of the both worlds.

Tokoyoshi, the jap master of photogrammetry, made use of that already, it's subtle but very cool.

This was a very kino (and poorly performing even with AA off) splatting world. There was a good 30 metres of so of walkable terrain where it kinda felt like I was there and the splat artifacts weren't that obvious. I think splat worlds capture what it feels like to be inside a photo

From a viewer perspective, splats tend to give prettier results easier, but they're much harder to render and give way worse performance.

They are very bad at solid objects and need very high splat density. And also seem to need more images from many perspective unlike mesh based photogrammetry.

Worst lart about splats is that there isnt any ready to use applications allowing to train them. All of them want you to download some random assortiment of experimental academic code, compile everything yourself, run some scripts from commandline and hope for the best.

Not even anything like meshlab. Its like early days of stable diffusion but its been years since gaussian splatting was invented!

Scaniverse is the most retard friendly. free phone app, works on both android/apple, no lidar needed, and you just wave your phone around, don't have to manually take photos. Does the training on your phone too so no account required. It's pretty impressive that even a mid tier phone from 5 years ago trains a decent splat in about 10 minutes.

On a computer, nerfstudio is free and open sores. There's also jawset postshot which is free but not open. Haven't used either personally though.

Also most of the older photogrammetry apps like polycam or realityscan or varjo teleport will also do splats now in addition to textured meshes, and usually they'll give you a few free scans. Have to make accounts though

Vertigo is not a slop. Its one of the better games unironically. But the author isn't too good at making humans. This exagerated fisheye selfie doesn't help the model either.
