I think a lot of people sleep on the skeleton. It draws aggro by roaring and surprisingly does a good job of keeping aggro. The roar draws aggro even if it doesn't hit something the skeleton just can't be so far away that arrows would do 0 damage to an enemy.
I also like using the relic that makes your summons give you buffs, having a permanent 20% dmg reduction while skeleton is out feels good for bosses, lets me feel safe greeding casts.

Its funny how omens, banished knights, headless knights, knight captains, and crucible knights are like minibosses for most classes(especially at low-ish levels) but Raider kinda just walks up to them and spams R1 and wins.
Seriously if you get the main castle full of either knight type and a raider is on the team you can just follow them around and hit what they're hitting to speed things up and clear all the castle mobs incredibly fast.

Is matchmaking based on how many bosses you have killed and separate for each character or something? I've only played one single character for all bosses and usually get pretty decent teams in the past but now I switched to other classes to try and get the achievement for killing a boss as every one, and the teammates I get now always seem to be beginners or complete fools

Hey spellcasters here's a tip if you are going to revive someone. You don't have to cast spells it waste fp and most of the time don't do stagger which is what speeds up.
If you don't have any melee you can just do a jumping heavy attack and that shit adds a whooping stagger to the bar
