I'm honestly baffled that C5S3 is the only season that seemed to get one thing right, and that was "make the bosses spawn randomly on the map or at the POIs, so people actually have a reason to explore more than the new POIs". It didn't save the Greek POIs that weren't Grim Gate, but fuck me did it actually make things varied and mobile instead of people just rotating the new shit til the storm makes them fuck off.

I really wish Epic hadn't ditched Bandcamp for no fucking reason. It was one of the rare good things they had intergrated into Fortnite, thanks to them they were able to license a lot of really great indie artists and expose people to some genuinely awesome lesser known people. That's how I found a bunch of artists that I follow now, thanks to their music being on the car radios. Nowdays it's all just either Epic's own music which is whatever or just your usual top 100 charts crap, the music selection is so bad on the car radios I don't even bother turning them on anymore. It's so dumb and it's also a missed opportunity on Epic's part that they don't do their own talkshows on the radio too. Would it be a lot of effort? Yeah, but you could intergrate season events and storylines into the radio. Outlaws would be a lot funnier if you had everyone losing their minds over dillcoins crashing.

i agree. however, its probably how they justify the ridiculously high cost of licensing the festival tracks. people bitch about the 500 vb cost, but epic is giving them the entire song, plus stems, plus the ability to have others listen to it for free (either in festival or jam circles). surely that costs a bit more than just having a licensed song in your singleplayer game, so putting those songs on the ingame radio both adds some perceived value and allows the game to feel more "premium" (worldwide hits vs cheap indie band with a few hundred plays).

thats kind of what i mentioned. most of the staff was let go/moved into the lego modelling mines, so new seasons only have cosmetics and one or two new rounds made in the ingame editor (as opposed to original rounds made in unity, usually with a brand new gimmick). the game would be in a perfect state if unity shows existed at the same time as explore (non-BR mode where you play user editor maps at your own pace. can quit whenever you want and get xp/crowns for however many rounds you played) itd be perfect. no such luck though.
epics got the wrong idea of a "metaverse". if they wanted a god honest one, you would launch the game and immediately load into a lobby, where you can fuck around with others and show off your cosmetics, and then seamlessly enter any one of their games or experiences from an ingame queue. youd also have the option to join games directly from a menu like you can now.
instead theyre trying to patch all of the games they own into fortnite, which is both a shitton of work and never perfect. doesnt help that fall guys got shafted after RR and lego all but failed.
basically i just want them to steal gmod tower and go back to making cool shit for the games that already exist instead of making new shallow ones that die off in two weeks.

The rule of thumb for Fortnite is that there's almost always a solid shotgun in a chapter/season, it just varies how good it is. This chapter the Outlaw hits like a truck but the two shots to a reload limits its viability, while the Sentinel will eviscerate with a good headshot but is best for clean-up on already weakened foes or getting a strong first shot and swapping to mop up with something else. There's a reason why Builds are pumpwhore central, since boxfighting edit battles generally boil down to someone opening a wall to drop a pump shot off and closing the wall up after.
A rifle or SMG may be a go-to in general/open fights, but unless you're Zero Builds and not in close range, a shotgun is generally the lifeblood of Fortnite.

I still think it's pretty crazy that we had to wait almost a whole year for festival tracks to have expanded use just outside of the gamemode itself. Either Epic are that incompetent or they legit thought that people would not care about it. I'm glad they eventually got dragged into doing it because at the start 500vb's per song was absolutely NOT worth it. But it begs the question, festival is popular and certain artists do attract a lot of customers but how the fuck does the licensing agreements actually *work*? It's not like the artist or production company get a percentage of vbucks for each sale. Every season since chapter 5 started now has to have Medallions which can range from tame to absolutely bullshit broken effects that the best player in the lobby will immediately get to stomp the lobby even harder, they've never nerfed medallions outside of the Ch1S1 so a single one couldn't regen 100 shield (yet medallions like Megalo Don or Kor's go unchanged the entire season). Then ontop of that is there also having to be some gimmick movement item every season that incentivizes running away or chasing a player across the entire map and also has a hilariously braindead melee that S1 and S2 of this chapter devolved into everything abusing it. The game can hardly be called a BR anymore and is just a glorified tech demo and billboard now.
