While I agree that the artwork itself is kind of boring, I attribute that more to the artist than design in and of itself; it's just symptomatic of modern BA art direction where the shading is oversimplified for the sake of a unified aesthetic, when in some cases some characters could use more individual shading tweaks as per the design.

That being said, the design itself is completely sound and appropriate for her character. It's obviously supposed to be a "pure" and "angelic" design that's befitting of Mika's status after all of her character development. The total lack of pretentions in the design - hair completely down, no more accessories on her outfit, and her outfit itself is extremely revealing - as some have suggested it's closer to lingerie than it is a swimsuit; she's practically naked. All of this is simply alluding to a sense of exposure, a feeling of "baring" her heart to Sensei and her friends with no more walls between them and her. Mika is just a girl, after all.

We haven't had a good story chapter in well over a year since Pikaman left. Volume EX started last year in October. What a horrendous scene this is where volumes take more than a year to finish now. Fate is isakusan's favorite, but I would NOT say it is an inspiration of Blue Archive's. The most clear reference to Fate in BA so far, afaik, is that Neru is called "promised victory" a single time in a volume that isakusan did not write (also one could argue the fight down the tower was inspired by Fate, but I personally see that more as a DMC reference given Neru's CUHRAZY nature and dual guns)

As for robots, in general BA takes big and frequent references from Metal Gear Solid, so I don't really think that that's a queue from Fate either.

Most importantly, Fate is largely really fucking dark and has a weird tone balance issue and at least to me, if you were truly inspired by it I would see these things in your work. That and "sincerely convoluted powers"
