I'm pretty sure enemy projectiles also have damage fall off, and we have the same hitzone/damage transfer/limb HP damage system as the enemies, but 0 armour so everything hurts us. I think armour rating doesn't flat reduce damage but determines how much damage transfer to main our body parts have, with the higher armour rating transferring less damage. At least, that's what I understand when looking at the wiki and the various armour rating DRs.and how the 'helldiver' hitzones are laid out.

Every single stock sound effect I previously had replaced with mods offends my ears. Barrages sound like tiny aerosol bombs when they should sound like large caliber super TNT filled shells that hammer the ground and create shockwaves. Autocannon only makes mechanical sounds but no explosion or gas discharge. All the MGs and rifles sound like paintball guns. Sfx in this game are a travesty, 2/10. Arrowhead should fire their sfx lead and replace em with some of the guys that made the most popular sfx mods.

Maybe. Possibly. Having 15 shots does make it overlap with, for example, GL for that role. That being said, there are primaries that compete with GL for that role, and epoch doesn't compete with GL for quick crowd destruction.

I think having explosives be there own classification is good. And plasma sticking to that even on like a primary is fine.

I disagree. Parade bond got improved to a considerable degree. Both the primary and armor perk are decent now. Pyro still is pretty strong. The de-escalator and k-9 generally regarded as good additions, the cop armor perk is amazing for survival for lobbies with no vitality booster, the grenade got its buff, and while the primary is too weak it looks great and has strong meta potential if it ever gets a damage buff akin to the ones literally every other gun of that category has received. The new bond is the real stinker by comparison. Get it if you want the warp pack pretty much.

Cop bond has the problem of being built around stun when stun is shit. Armor does nothing that fortified doesn't, the gun is shit, the stun GL got fucked by the recent stun nerfs, there's no reason to take urchins of termites and the dog is teamkilling machine unless your entire squad wears the arc resist armor.

It's 3 fire modes do the exact same damage per magazine so it's a toggle that fluctuates burst and tunes ease of use.
You can easily use the stock liberator to kill a swarm of devastators but the Variable does it faster.

If you're just using it in auto you shouldn't be using it at all.

The assisted reload feature is fine the way it is. IRL crew serve Gunners don't carry their own ammunition and have a dedicated Assistant Gunner who carries ammo and helps load. People always point out that reloading faster your buddies backpack makes no sense since he can't reach them, but that's not what is being represented in game. IRL your AG would just drop his pack and source rounds from it in a convenient place. The game just doesn't show that happening because it's implied.

durable damage is a necessary system, otherwise you get into an endless loop of needing to buff damage and HP to maintain balance points.

Take the chargers ass, for example. If the intended balance is that it takes roughly 1 liberator magazine to pop it, but also just 3 autocannon shots you run into some serious problems.
First, the chargers ass would need to be inflated to 3600 HP to keep it in line with 1 liberator magazine to kill, but now instead of 3 shots the autocannon now needs 9 shots, so you need to buff the autocannon to do 1200 combined projectile and explosive damage. Obviously that makes the autocannon insanely more capable against smaller targets and heavier targets alike, so everything else needs their HP buffed to compensate, but oh shit now that you've buffed the HP of brood commanders now the liberator takes way more shots to kill them so now you need to buff the liberators damage to keep the same breakpoints but now you've also changed how much HP the chargers ass needs to be increased by to keep the 1 magazine balance which means you need to increase the AC damage again.....
and so on in and impossible to satisfy loop of ever inflating damage and HP. durability is an important balancing lever. Could it be used to better effect? yes, but it needs to exist in some fashion, and just making it into an armour penetration reduction system completely ignores all the enemies that have parts with no or little armour but are still highly durable
