It's the fucking crying bird in the distance calling card, she had Odin's ravens cry out for seemingly no reason. Not even Skadi had anything to do with the birds watching you. And there was no payoff either in the end, Odin's ravens had nothing to do with the plot other than scenery setting wanking that Sakurai indulges her menopause 50 year old self on.

Hiro's writing ability in Lostbelt 5.1 is in leagues above Sakurai, even if most of LB5.1 was setting up LB5.2 it sure as hell wasn't a slog to read and it was enjoyable having party dynamics. Lostbelt 6 was good, despite the obvious rewrites to Caster Artoria (originally it was Merlin who taught her and she was his protegee rather than a hero king). The one area that I felt Lostbelt 6 didn't dwell on was the butteryfly wars that Fae Knight Gawain alluded to. There's this neat little history factoid in Lostbelt 6 to keep track of the timeline and some of the past Fae wars stuff was super interesting but we didn't spend a lot of time on.

Paradoxically Lostbelt 6 Fae Britain's best and worst character was Morgan. In the present day Morgan was a Part 1 villain of the week Sailor Moon villain nothing character, but in the past her tragedy as Aesc was kino. It feels like there was 15% of content that was cut from Lostbelt 6.
