Honestly, I like the idea of Rikkun having a massive crush on Shizuka because that'd sorta piss Shiho off. But after he's rejected, maybe when he's already in HS, he realizes that Kana was always there the whole time. Note that usually. people don't really mind that pairing but only if Shiho is already fucking MLP. Otherwise, it's usually just Shiho x Kanna for most. It does help that Kanna doesn't have as much Plove and is a fatty.
NonP shipping is usually reserved for "pairing the spares" where you do like an idol but feel bad that she's alone so she's paired up with a controllable element that wouldn't emasculate the main self insert. Usually, reserved for more "less popular" characters. I remember they had a guy be into Ami in the official imas manga and no one really complained because Amifags didn't exist. To an extent, this is also why yuriships exist, to have girls you like who aren't your charge be happy with someone you KNOW but even then that's not always the case.
I also once read a fic with Kanako having a CF and always really liked that idea. Even in clear harem fics with MobaP or TakeP, she's usually never chosen for harem hijinks. Usually it's Cheri or even Anzu before her.
Anyways, this shit won't really happen in GK because all the girls have pairs when they are spared. They even have spare ships too. I think that's the most refreshing part about it honestly, that they're upfront with the yuribaiting AND the Plove so you rarely ever see any issues.. Even the most forced fandom ship, MisuKoto, is clearly being pandered to.
This is all coming from the SS reader side of things though which is usually more "open" to that stuff since we all know this isn't canon anyways and just fan works.

I'd care more if I knew a group of Ps were brought on by BamCo and then had their dreams come true by accompanying Go Shiina. I can be happy for them and gain something from that.
In comparison, I don't give a fuck about SideM but I can 100% appreciate the actual lyricist singing the songs she wrote with the one she wrote it for. The fact that said person shouldn't exist in our world was just the icing on top and sorta showed what Vision 3.0 can be. That I just read Hiro Step 3 also helped.
Everything else was either okay or just fine but it doesn't feel like the finale before the 20th anniv it should have been. I guess that's why it technictynpjally was part of the "Road to 20 years" instead of the actual 20th celebration.
