I kinda doubt it. But spellboost went hybrid because the meta got too degenerate with Odin, to offset the extra damage they now bring in extra healing. I think Cygames expected Ward haven making wide boards to be the counter but Rune just tanks the damage and heals instead. It completely changed the Artifact portal matchup too, which was very hard to win on Rune before but is basically a free win for Rune now.

I think all perma crest cards are a 2x unless you have very good reason to want a 3rd like for example you want aether to have materials to pull out. Aria is just a 6 mana 4/4 and drawing 2 or 3 isn't that great but you do want to draw 1
