If you're playing a top tier killer with a top tier perk loadout I think it's fine to be a little counterintuitive for the sake of generating hatemail.
Don't get looped for 5 gens of course but weaker players will make worse decisions so having them as the unhookers is better in my opinion. In my personal experience, better players have more play time and a larger ego will be more upset at being camped and tunneled.

They need to make it so the description doesn't die, first. Because right now it triggers as long as it's off cooldown and there is a survivor in your terror radius. It doesn't matter if they have line-of-sight, it doesn't matter if they are looking in your direction even through walls. Its description also implies that survivors can prevent being aura read if they don't scream, but even if they have Calm Spirit their aura will still be read. Unlike perks like Nowhere To Hide or BBQ & Chili, there's no way for survivors to know when it's coming off cooldown/being activated, and no counterplay other than taking two perks, one for screams and one for auras. It's a perk that needs to be nearly dogshit (due to the 1-minute-long cooldown) because if it was any faster it would quickly flip over the knife's edge into being oppressive.

Either they keep the 1 minute cooldown and just be honest about its activation conditions, or they fix it to require survivors to actually see the killer(like Ghostface) and then adjust the cooldown lower.
