Decks that are complete from the set are very strong, mostly Sword Abyss and Rune. Decks that are half-complete are way below them, which is everything else. Odin single-handedly is making aggro better than control. Forest is absolutely dead.

They don't really have a singular archetype they're focused on. The most effective Forest decks run a good mount of fairy support, but you also want Roach as a pressure tool and/or finisher. Forest has a lot of room to play with tech and ratios, but their floor and ceiling are whack as fuck because they don't really have as much they can just auto-include to fill out their deck with.

I think you are severely overstating Odin's case while completely overlooking the importance of Cultivator of Malice, Winged Servants, Vuella, and Exella. Unthinkable. It gives you way too much potential power in the late game. What would you even slot in there that could come remotely close to its effectiveness? D-Climb is such a unique strength of Rune that, until they reach a critical mass of other synergistic enablers and a blowout payoff for them, you should just run it because nothing else comes close. It's the single highest ceiling card in the game. I get that it sits in your hand like a brick for 7+ turns and will feel like ass if you're getting aggro'd down, but it's literally just too good to pass up. I would say if pure Dirt Rune had a real payoff then you could cut it, but you've got no finisher so sometimes you need to fall back on Climb to pull you through the shit in those scrappy last few turns.

The thing is, all of this would be manageable if not but for Odin. Sure, they set Odin up, but Odin is what has just enough damage with a banish for a ward at just early enough to close out the game before your power comes out. DClimb was only 9pp and came on a follower in SV1, they also had storm units that could be spellboosted down so they'd play DClimb with a body and then draw their storms, overstatted minions with their cost reduced, and a buff that gave a unit +2/+2(cost reduced from spellboosting) and you were dealing with 10 damage to the face on turn 5 or 6 while they flooded the board at the same time and they drew into a 2nd DClimb with a body then they'd do it again on the next turn.

You lads don't know true Rune cancer, even their end game wincon in SV1 at release was "Take an extra turn". Which included everything they played being able to attack the following 1 to 3 extra turns they took. There was no RNG, you just lost.

Therein lies the problem. Getting the daily chore rewards is non-deterministic. For people who actually have shit to do, this could eat up a lot of time. Picture this from the view of a "normal" player. If you're bothering to grind out chests, then you probably need the resources they provide to improve your decks, which means you're not playing an optimal deck most likely. If you run into ranked to get your chests, you have a decent chance of getting your ass blown out by random cancer. Even the best players can't guarantee a win by playing perfectly by nature of the game.
Now factor in that chests sometimes just won't appear. I've gone 5+ games without a chest appearing. This event does not respect your time in the slightest.

Undead Soldier is great if you aren't staring down the barrel of a shotgun going into turn 7, but that's wishful thinking when everyone and their mother is running Odin or some other bullshit at that price point. Setting him up going into your Cerberus turns can be amazing, but sometimes he just gets answer while your opponent also sets up their own board and you just get hosed. Gildaria deals with him easily, Rune deals with him easily, Forest just kills you, even Haven can set up so that they aren't really threatened by a couple recursive shitters.

Classic early expac conundrum. Sword has always run a braindead gameplan and it eats shitters alive while they're trying to figure out what the fuck their deck even is.
