First off, SEGA are absolute donkeys for mandating this comic be "canon" then letting Ian and Evan write whatever serialized soap opera bullshit they want. They've got IDW "by the balls" with licensing but refuse to actually USE that power to stop this mess. Instead they sit there like wet fish letting writers create these "important events" :Metal Virus arc, Surge drama, EVERYTHING with the Restoration, FUCKING BELLE AND WHISPER!

They keep writing like these ongoing storylines actually matter when everyone knows the games will ignore them completely. They're not complementing the games, they're trying to replace them with their own characters with their own story arcs.

And IDW? Those useless bastards just want monthly floppy sales regardless of quality. They push serialization because it guarantees steady cash flow even though it completely destroys any chance of fitting with the games' episodic nature.

The comic should NOT be serialized AT ALL. Give us standalone adventures that actually work WITH the games instead of this ongoing saga garbage.

The gameplay's fun, the powers are fun, the physics are goated, the music's great, the co-op's fun with friends, Trip's a good girl, the boss fights are challenging, and the story is really good episodic Sonic content while making the world feel bigger.

You didn't watch the same movie. Tails gets outsmarted and captured by regular GUN mooks unable to fight them off. That's why he's floating, because Knuckles had to save Tails who couldn't even fight off a GUN soldier.
Knuckles saves them all in this scene by destroying the GUN gravity device after Tails had been pathetically defeated. Then Tails needs to be saved from the rubble by Sonic spindashing it.

Tails doesn't even get to fight in the movie. Sonic saves him from Shadow. Then Knuckles saves him from GUN. Then Sonic also saves him from GUN. Then Super Sonic does everything in the final fight and Tails does nothing. Then Tails can't even fly and Knuckles has to save him again.

It's worse than Forces, Tails accomplishes nothing, is portrayed as weak and unable to even fight regular humans, is just a background character there to help with nothing and only there for Sonic to save, and can't even fly.

Most of the reviews and videos covering the game said it wasn't good. Sure, Superstars had the potential to be a good game. But the same can be said for every other Sonic game and it's known that Arzest isn't a good company.
