They keep writing like these ongoing storylines actually matter when everyone knows the games will ignore them completely. They're not complementing the games, they're trying to replace them with their own characters with their own story arcs.

And IDW? Those useless bastards just want monthly floppy sales regardless of quality. They push serialization because it guarantees steady cash flow even though it completely destroys any chance of fitting with the games' episodic nature.

The comic should NOT be serialized AT ALL. Give us standalone adventures that actually work WITH the games instead of this ongoing saga garbage.

You didn't watch the same movie. Tails gets outsmarted and captured by regular GUN mooks unable to fight them off. That's why he's floating, because Knuckles had to save Tails who couldn't even fight off a GUN soldier.
Knuckles saves them all in this scene by destroying the GUN gravity device after Tails had been pathetically defeated. Then Tails needs to be saved from the rubble by Sonic spindashing it.

Tails doesn't even get to fight in the movie. Sonic saves him from Shadow. Then Knuckles saves him from GUN. Then Sonic also saves him from GUN. Then Super Sonic does everything in the final fight and Tails does nothing. Then Tails can't even fly and Knuckles has to save him again.

It's worse than Forces, Tails accomplishes nothing, is portrayed as weak and unable to even fight regular humans, is just a background character there to help with nothing and only there for Sonic to save, and can't even fly.

If it was the exact same game but with the Classic designs, and a non verbal narrative, then I think it would be better received but not by much. Also being the first 3D classic game could've brought more attention to it, since the original Lost World sold poorly

Who is your favorite Tails from Prime?
Mine's Nine. I really like his backstory and I think it's cool to see a what-if Tails that didn't have Sonic's help. He's the only character that really feels like he takes advantage of the canon divergence properly. I also really like his world (New Yoke) for the SatAM esque vibes.

I'm sorry but its literally impossible to enjoy any other sonic game after playing adventure 1 and 2. They're the absolute pinnacle of the franchise, I regret playing them before trying other sonic games, I spoiled myself and can't enjoy anything else now.
