Japanese Eitaku fics go one of two ways
>Eito rapes Takumi, gives him his apolocheese, Takumi forgives him and they have regular sex
>Eito rapes Takumi, Takumi doesn’t forgive him and Eito rapes him until he’s mindbroken and he can’t live without dick anymore

Playing through mystery and hit the story lock. The mystery itself is interesting but this is the worst character writing I've experienced in the game so far.

Everyone forgot what their personalities are and just parrot back the facts of the case with their speech quirks sprinkled in and go along with whatever the group decides with no friction. Shouma actually defends himself and argues with you. Ima gets over Kako dying in about a week. For some reason Hiruko is an expert forensic coroner. Takumi is fucking Sherlock Holmes when he's not in a multiple week long coma, which everyone else treats like a minor quirk of his and acts like no time has passed at all whenever he wakes up.

It feels like a mystery plotline from an entirely different game that had hundred line characters slapped on top of it and called it a day. At least the bad endings are funny. Takumi accusing himself of murder, running away like an idiot before Yugamu comes out of nowhere to stab him but stabs Nozomi by accident because she teleported to their location, and Takumi/Yugamu dying in a fire immediately afterward was actually comical.

That is actually the author’s writing style (Uchikoshi). In his games he focuses on the overall story and how the characters contribute to it. It works there but it does stand out when he’s given a bunch of characters he hasn’t carefully crafted to participate in a specific way and thus has to make do with what he can.

Also another thing of his is people whipping out science knowledge out of nowhere so a lot of people knew it was a route by him when Takumi whipped out Archimedes’ principle
